It won't happen again if you get an Authenticator.

If you do get hacked twice though and report it they won't let you use the Real money AH.

Ok thanks, I've installed the authenticator. If it happens again I think I'll wait for Diablo 4 before playing again.

lvl 42 monk. I'm finding it difficult to invest in anything until reaching lvl 60. Not getting decent loot, but spending my money on training and hoarding gems.

Is crafting actually competitive with dropped loot? I might give that a go once my NPCs reach max level. I rarely find anything my monk can use anyway.

Once I got to hell at level 50 I bought some things from AH to improve my stats - that made the world of difference. Spent about 200k gold total for nearly all new items, which I felt was reasonable.

Crafting is not worth it. You can buy a flawless square gem for ~4k. It costs way more to craft it from 3 below - maybe 5x as much (can't remember exact costs).

I've been upgrading my jc and bs but only for completeness. Waste of gold otherwise with current AH prices.

No...that's for them to report suspicious activity and I believe it's only for wow at the time being.

What you want is the Andriod/iOS authenticator app, works the same as the physical thing but free app.

Only thing I am concerned about with the mobile app is the number of people getting locked out of their account after updating their phone. Others have mentioned about making sure you make a note of the restore code.

Has anyone on here had any problems with it at all, as I will probably go for it if the issues have just been user-error.

Thanks

When my old iPod with the mobile authenticator on it broke, I contacted Blizzard support asking them to remove it. They asked for the codes I used to register my games as proof of account ownership and they then removed it pretty quickly. It was all sorted in less than 24 hours.

Making a note of the restore code is of course the better option, but silly me made a note of it on that iPod.

I had this problem when i reset my phone, i had to send a ticket with a scan of my driving licence and it took like 24 hours to get it removed.

If you take note of the code in notepad for later you will be ok, but i didnt which was my fault.

If you have one though, you wont ever get hacked.

I've never been locked out and update the phone/app whenever a new update is out. It has always worked straight after, although i did do a screenshot of the app when i installed it though for the setup code/key etc incase it did lock me out.

AH is superior for just about every level below 60. Dropped loot? You might get the odd miracle item but it tends to be you find extremely good loot for characters 5-10 levels below you.

My DH was starting Act 4 at lvl51. Can't craft anything that high yet and as it needs Hell items to upgrade the BS/craft them and the items I can craft are so far below my level its pointless. Bow is 20 levels lower, Crossbow is 47 levels lower (lol) and Hand Crossbow is 10 levels below. The Hand Crossbow also costs me 10k to craft.

Had a look on the AH, filtered to level 51 rares, buyout 2000 w/ Dexterity. Picked up a 260 dps Crossbow with 66 dex and a socket for 1.5k. Over twice the dps of the weapon I was using.

I would be careful with buying stuff on the AH, it can ruin the game with making loot from you're game irrelevant for use, which will make it boring. I bought a weapon in nightmare mode, and i cruised through act 4, killing stuff so easy, it wasn't even a challenge. Luckily that weapon became old quickly and my gear become on par with the content in hell mode.

Gotta agree, was sitting about 80dps with all blue/yellow items I had from drops and crafting.

Max buyout 3k on the AH, 10k later, 450dps.....

Up to level 27 now, beaten the first easy boss on Act 3.

Just need to increase my Vit a bit, when I do get hit my life drops quite quickly, the demons with their big axe move take a good chunk off if they get a hit in.

Anyone else seeing a delay when trying to use abilities? I'm getting killed because I press 1 (for Smoke Screen) and it doesn't go off, often after I've used Preparation.

I'm finding this now, bought a few rares for my level from the AH and am flying through.

I don't mind it though, I play casually (11 hours since release, have had a 3/4 bursts of game play) and am enjoying the story line.

I wanted to see how much harder Belial would be at Act II having soloed so joined a group with 4 of us in, I was able to solo him still (accidentally walked in without waiting for the rest, have only grouped up once before and messed up but died at 5% so we could all fight him).

Am on Act III looking forward to the Diablo fights and then onto harder modes :)

Not sure if it makes a difference as i didn't have the problem, but when you log in to the Bnet website, at the bottom of the page is a list of countries, make sure you have picked the right one.

That was the first thing i tried. I googled around before making this post. The error was different saying that i did not enter a key. I guess im on the right page but its just not working.

got it working! tried it on IE instead of using google chrome. Fixed it....
