I tend to play 8 hours a day (killing stuff), and tend to notice that rare drops come in waves. You definitely get periods of few rare drops, then sometimes periods of loads.

Just chance :p

A Magic Find chance perhaps? /trollface :D

So far I've found 2 Legendaries. One came from a random destructible object on act 2 normal and was an ok dagger for a low level wiz/wd, the other is a 2-handed axe, also from act 2 (I think) from some random regular enemy. As far as higher level stuff go, not seen a thing.

I cant get over the fact that some people who've played maybe 10 -15 hours have had 5, 6, 7+ legendaries and have only gone through normal mode. Then theres others who have put in 80 - 90+ hours currently farming inferno and haven't had a single legendary drop, random or not.

To all the barbarian players out there, do you go for dual wield, weapon and shield or 2h weapon??
I have been a 2H monster since the first one dropped and never looked back, my AOE is huge, single target is massive and nothing beats one shot’ing a mob and splattering it all over the floor.

Used bash for single target cleave for multiple
Seismic slam on trash and Hammer of ancients if I want a single target rage dump.

2 Handed here. Like Citizen mentions - big area of affect and strong single hits. Lots of enemies go down in 1-2 hits rather than maybe 3-4 with something faster but smaller - just looks cooler ;)

Using Cleave against all but bosses currently, keep swapping the runes around though - currently using the knockback on crits one I think.
Secondary is usually Whirlwind - it's good fun.

Against Bosses I've been switching for Fury (I think that's what it was, the 3rd primary attack) with the improved move speed along with usually Rend with the gain life from bleeding rune.

Might give dual wind another shot - but can't see it really being any better than 2 handed and certainly no better than using a 1 handed weapon and a shield.

2H barb got inf act 1 on farm np very easy but act 2 is another ballgame, im getting a little bored really since you are pretty much forced to use AH to get anywhere since act 1 doesn't really drop the gear you need to progress.

What difficulty you up to?

Also, my DPS drops by a good 3k if I equip a shield (without buffs), for very little increase in protection. Dual wield :)

Hit a brick wall with my barb on act 3 inferno, I need at least 6 million to buy some upgrades! It's going to take a whole lot of farming and AH wheeling and dealing to get past.

Decided to level a DH while they sort out the AH lag.

Finaly got to Diablo himself.

Did the first part then off to the nether area where fight his shadow and myself. After 2 deaths got back to the normal fight got him down to 30/40% health and found out he breathes fire. Nearly got me and I saw a health globe behind him and couldnt get to it in time. Died. Had to go back to vendor to get repaired. Tried one more time and failed. Need to rethink my spec and items I think. Maybe go for more life items and less damage. I dunno.

Tough little bugger

Been farming the butcher on Inferno with my Barb and he only seems to drop ****...

Anyone I've got About 530 Resistance in everything atm, I just can't see where else I can get more resist gear from as all my gear has 40+ res atm!

On Normal, I had my health around 1,300 and damge at near 800 and got my backside handed to me. Upped my health to around 3,500 and reduced damage to around 650 and had no issues.

To me that suggest their is something wrong(or something right) with their randomization algorythms.

I'm betting they've tied the distribution of items to the server wide population as opposed to the individual. So they give out a certain number of items a day, at certain times in certain games. Thats the only way an AH would be viable, it means that certain people will always be lucky. It means its something like a lottery, where only a few people will see the good stuff and the rest have to buy it.

I'm looking to roll a new class I can solo well with in Inferno. I'm sick of monk, heard of a guy still having a lot of problems in inferno act 2 with 750 to all res.
Any ideas? Thinking of Wizard :)

Tom, have you been getting 5 stacks of NV? Otherwise he will just drop ****

kd

Yes mate, 5 stacks every time.

Well I've just found my first legendary and I think it's a piece of poop.

Could anyone give me a rough idea on what it's worth?
