Anyhow got talking to a cute little blonde chick there and asked her about the blue delays...funnily enough she didnt know anything about it..go figure, its true that blondes are dumb but at least she was cute:p. But she said that they were going to start selling the phones after 7pm and already there was a que of people waiting to pick theirs up. Asked if i could buy one today and if it was sim free but she couldnt answer those questions so i thought **** me all this hype over a phone, yet when apple fanboi's go crazy for a new iphone the phandroid princesses sit there and s****** at them...very ironic at how much hype there is over this phone because the stand was jam packed with people lol.

Anyhow if anyone was there earlier on tonight, was there some sort of pre-order show going on?? ie a band playing or did they get real cheesy and announce the pre-order people to come up one by one to collect their S3's...now that would have been epic,should have stuck around but my missus and my tummy had other ideas:p.

Well I went there and pre-ordered on the day and yes they are sim-free.

They had someone from Samsung do a demo of features with the handset connected to a tv.

Ended up receiving the handset about 6pm but we were well taken care of in the queue being offered champagne, mojitos, ice cream and little nibbles as well as freebies and £50 discount for those who pre-ordered payg

For those that have purchased via mobiles.co.uk, what is your experience with them like? The £26pm deal they are offering via T-Mobile is so much better than anything else out there, so I'm very tempted to order, but am a little wary of the retailer. If you have problems do you contact them or the operator?

Also, as I'm on T-Mobile at the moment, I assume I'd have to call them up, cancel, get my PAC code, and then place the order with mobiles.co.uk whilst providing said PAC code?

I've ordered mine from there on the £26 per month deal, will let you know how I get on. If you want to keep the same number and are moving to a different network then you request your PAC code but if you are already on T-Mob I'm not sure you need a PAC code. I'm pretty sure you can just order the handset and ring T-Mob once it arrives and they can transfer your number over without the need for any PAC code.
 
Hmm, now I'm thinking about Vodafone's exclusive deal on the 32gb. The phone's official launch being today... that means 32gb models should be out at the beginning of July. As the blues are going to be delayed anyway... maybe I just buy the 32gb model in July?

Samsung should have just bloody released a black phone. No damn problems with the paint job then! Now, this gives me an opportunity to ponder the quadcore Krait LG.

Found an email from Rainforest updating my order this morning :-

" We regret to inform you that the following items have been delayed as we are still awaiting stock from our suppliers :

Looks like some of us won't be getting our hands on the Pebble Blue S3 until the end of the month!

The 9th, so Wednesday.

I ordered on the 15th but cannot see anything on my order about the free accessories that should come with it.



I got an email from Play yesterday saying the release had been pushed back to the 31st. Then got one this morning again

Mine is at the same status level :( Anyone know Yodel well enough to say if it is likely to change to "out for delivery" this morning?

My last status was at 5:48 yesterday morning. I went into my CPWH yesterday lunchtime and said they get their delivery today so I'm hoping that it's along with that, but then my order would be a seperate one wouldn't it?

TBH, I'm not holding out much hope. I'm preparing my membership to the "I hate Yodel" club as I type.....

As another desperate gadget geek caught up in the hype I thought I'd do what what is necessary... hassle the poor customer service adviser :p (who probably just looks at the same website).... on hold
