Wasn't prepared to spend every morning sitting on an empty server waiting for it to get full :p

Plus kind of lost interest in BF3, just gets boring now spawning infront of a tank, idiot players who can't hold flags, etc, etc, etc

It's not too bad but you need more than one person to do it. I could join, go watch TV and have a cuppa while just touching the mouse here and there to stop the server from kicking me.

For a 48 man server it only cost me about £30 or just less I think.

Which host were you using?

I had a feeling when you got your server it would be a fad, it is with most people. Not many people have the dedication to see it through, keep it alive and busy 24/7 360 days a year.

Multiplay.

I did it on the off chance that I'd be able to get a few of the old Bronken blokes back on now that the game was 'better' than when it was first released but none of them were interested so couldn't be bothered.

so matt are you going to get a close quarters server for release ?

i was going to but probably not now as most of our lot have been getting back into cod4 promod and are waiting for csgo.

24/7 guys do a lot of work to keep it busy and unless you know how to keep servers busy it would be empty . so they doing something right.

quite a few are playing other games at mo waiting for new dlc if it annoys you so much id have a break play something else

I must admit, now that RO2 has been fixed with the latest mega update, Im playing that again.

Yes thats the plan. If the maps are big enough then i will add them to the main server. However if 48 players is too much (think metro on 247 atm) then i wont be adding them and we (kun and myself) will sort out a seperate dlc only server of 24/32 players.

This is the plan anyway, things could change. Have to wait and see what the dlc is like. I'll probably have it ready to go on the server from day 1 though so we can all try it out with 48 players and see if its suitable.

DaiaBu, as in BF3. I will try and get on tonight, but I've not had much time for gaming last couple of days. And I've been playing mainly Classic mode, not a fan of all the unlocks and stuff. Might see you online though :)

They still look bigger than metro according to some vector images ive seen. :p

EDIT

I will probably wait and play them myself before adding them to the server just incase they really turn out to be that small.

If its only playable with 16 players im not getting a server for it because we would have to seriously limit our playerbase and i guess even chuck a password on it.

24 seems to be the magic number for me for these maps. Just hoping they are big enough to put 24 players on. Was planning on not allowing RPG/M320 on there for obvious reasons so 24 might just work.

Time will tell.
