What film did you watch last night?

Aliens - 8/10

Watched this on Bluray as part of the 6 disc boxset that everyone should own. Having last watched this some years ago I was surprised at how little the aliens actually featured. Not quite as good as Alien (IMO) this really is a classic horror and has been beautifully restored on bluray.

Se7en - 8/10 maybe 9/10
Seen this more times than I care to remember and somehow I never tire of watching it. Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt work very well together as Det. Somerset and Det. Mills, however they are both eclipsed by Kevin Spaceys performance despite featuring for barely the last 50 minutes. David Fincher also deserves a mention for his directing which is excellent.

Any Given Sunday. 8/10

Casual flicking of channels before bed ended in staying up until 2am to watch the ending of this. A little bit cheesy but enjoyable! Pacino's Inch speech was very good. As was the song that accompanied it. (Paul Kelly - Peace)

odd, i much prefer aliens. i like the whole alien franchise though and im eager to see prometheus!

fincher is a superb director, IMO spacey steals pretty much any movie he is in. great actor.

I am number 4

Quite enjoyed this easy to watch, was dissapointed that they shelved plans for a sequel.

yeah, i enjoyed it. not what i was expecting at all.

The Road - post apocalypse walk a lot film about a man and his son and the freaks that try to eat them.. ..... Quite a good harrowing story but the end left me feeling a bit unfulfilled.

not bad though... 8/10

i meanm 'odd, I prefer' :)

yeah, resurrection or worse still avp2! not a fan and i quite enjoyed AVP.

I know what you mean, but it's still not odd though is it. To put it like that indicates that Aliens is the better film. Obviously that is subjective, as to which is better, but they are both good enough films, for it to be down to personal preference. Resurrection on the other hand, is widely considered to be a pile of dung. Which indeed would be odd for someone to find that the better film. :)

Don't worry, I'm just being a bit pedantic. :D
