Clubs are already signing players in May, so the window is already open.
Clubs are already signing players in May, so the window is already open.
Except it isn't. Nobody can sign officially until the window opens on July 1st. Deals may have been done, pre-contracts etc. but nobody can sign OFFICIALLY until the window opens.
Hence Marko Marin of Werder Bremen has 'signed' for Chelsea in March, but does not officially become a Chelsea player until July 1st for example.
Means nothing the link you have posted. Lukas Podolski has been unveiled as an Arsenal signing, but cannot sign until the window opens officially.
Have a look at the schedules & exceptions section of the wiki link I posted.

There is no official start of a transfer window (in Scotland anyway), it just starts when the previous season ends, most people dont sign till june onwards due to their existing contract running out, but they could sign if a fee was involved.
??? Seriously?
Do you know anything about Scottish football?
Just to add a transfer window may not be open for longer than 12 weeks in the summer. So working back from August 31st, the earliest the transfer window may open is June 8th.
Of course Scotland has an official time for the window opening. It would not comply with UEFA if it didn't.
Yes, it states transfers can happen as soon as the season ends.
Did you just pick out the part that appears to substantiate your claim whilst ignoring the rest of the information that contradicts you?
That only refers to England and inter association transfers.
Is it not that its not a transfer windows its more a Registration window.

It refers to Scotland too.
It's just Mark's way of trying to stir the pot....
His hatred of Rangers means he has to have something negative to say about them in every post.
Thats simply not true, I have said positive things about Rangers and would do so should anything positive happen.
When I was about 14 I got a tour around Ibrox, Graham Souness and Walter Smith let three young boys, one wearing a Celtic top which you could see poking out the top of his jacket, into his office and spoke with us, gave us autographs and took time to chat with us. (They were having Scampi) I have good memories of seeing the trophy room and the bike, being in the changing rooms and getting to walk on the pitch. We were all treated well that day (probably due to who was giving us the tour) but still, its a positive Rangers story for you.
