It's funny how some people say "oh you should have used authenticator" that's why you got hacked but lets be honest majority of new Diablo players do not even know it existed and Blizzard should have put one with the game or advertised it with a leaflet or something in the box/with the download.

If you create a Battle.net account, the 'add security to your account' option is quite clear...

I've never played a Blizzard game, but it didn't take me long to find the option...

That said, saying 'oh you should have used an authenticator is a bit ridiculous', as most people should be secure. But considering battle.net is probably one of the most targeted sites for hacking from people looking to make gold, it doesn't surprise me that people are being hacked...

As for the guy who has loads of gold.

In every online game, there are people who have huge amounts of money compared to everyone else, and always those who are jealous and can't understand how you make that much money. The same as in the real world... The Super Rich...

In games they did it through one of a few ways:
Exploiting a bug - Resplendent Chest one.
Hacking
Playing the Markets - The Auction House makes this ridiculously easy to do
Sheer luck
Farming

To be honest, from what I've heard, once you get to it, it looks like Whimmyshire Inferno would make you huge amounts of money if you kept farming it... That said, Inferno farming anything will probably net in quite a bit right now as so many people can't do it.

I have no idea what way the guy is using to make money, but just because he's doing well, doesn't mean I'm going to immediately accuse him of hacking... Do people really think that's the only way to make money....

Oh you guys are true idiots I try to be nice giving a bit out and I get accused of being some master hacker,

Don't get me wrong. In Diablo II this German guy (Dorian) was helping a few randoms and me boost to hell and I got chatting with him not merely knowing him for 20 minutes.

I was 15-16, him 18-19 and a writer for a local German newspaper. He gave me many items including the Enigma runeword after not even an hour and we continued speaking and playing for three years. Along with a Belgian named Dirk we'd mule items from one another etc.

When I finally quit I gave him his items back and everything I had gained over the years. I did try to find him on FB and the like before the release of D3 because he was a DJ back then (hobby I assume) but I didn't really try hard enough.

I can understand being kind and helping people out as I experienced it myself so I can't fault you on that. I think I find it hard to believe because it's something I would not do myself (giving out 500k here or there)

Blizzard will still ban you hacking or not if they find out about any type of exploit circle, with people earning tons of gold from it.

Anyone know of a reliable digital download site for this, that doesn't charge more than £35? I refuse to be gouged to the tune of £45 off the battle.net site and will do without rather than pay it. Had a trundle round my local town centre today and nowhere has it in stock, went to Morrisons (nothing), ASDA (said they'd not had any new stock for ages) and only Amazon seems to have any physical copies in, but I'd rather download than wait for a delivery if possible.

Ah forget it, can't speak to a guy who speaks like this????? exploit????????????

Nobody is making 30-70 million a day from legit drops, because of the random nature of D3 loot you could go all day and get nothing sellable quite easily.

You have to get really lucky to net a 5 mil+ item, inferno has as much **** as any other difficulty.

I've cleared Inferno whimsey 20+ times and loot all clouds etc with 200+MF + 5 stacks of NV and the best thing I've found was a 1kish dps wizard staff that went for 2 million.

I say its hackers, i totally agree with Graveyard.

I agree. Even if they were earning such a huge amount of money, why the hell would they give such an obscene amount of it to a friend? If you're grinding 20 hours a day to earn money wtf would you just give away most of it for?
