I think you'll find that is just a reflection of the light box that was sued to take the photos. they are chromed controllers so thats the effect you get when photographing them.

The area that the headset plugs into however is black.

Personally after trying the initial new controllers with the new d-pad that were released last year, I find it still isn't that much of a big improvement especially for fighting games.

Sure it is better, just not that much. Maybe it's just the mould and shape of the thing that I don't like or not used to.

For old-school 2D side scrollers it is useful, but for actual fighting games, not really.

That's a shame then as the redesign was meant solely to fix the original d pad issues. Still not a deal breaker .

No.

I prefer colorware.com for controller colours for anyone interested in a bit more choice. A bit pricey but they look great and most people will never see another one like it.

Received my new controller in the post today.
It's certainly more blue than the cyan colour it appears in the promo material.
It's pretty nice though.
