i heard they asked for 2 more episodes but were told no, they asked for a double length finale episode but got given 10minutes....

i bet the series rakes in huge amounts of cash aswell so 5mil an episode should be considered cheap surely?

i bet drpoo costs more than 5mil an episode and that has the production quality of a uni students spare time project in comparision to the epic sets/cgi of game of thrones.......

They were not expecting Series 1 to be as popular as it was so quite possibly they didn't want to "waste" too much money on Series 2. Hopefully, now that they see the programme being very popular, they will loosen the purse strings for the next series and we may get more episodes....

Hopefully :p

When Catelyn Stark was talking to Robb about "moments of passion in the woods" it got me thinking. That was quite a specific reference. My wife and I were talking about it and we both have a feeling one of the Stark children is illegitimate. We are both drawn towards Sansa being Lord Baelish's child.

Not a Jon Snow reference?

I'll lose all respect for Cat if she carried someone else's child after the way she treated Jon, especially as that would be after they married a few years.

I don't think it fits.

With The Hound heading North and Brienne heading South with Jaime and the whole speech from Jaime about some boys trying it on with her but none were big or strong enough, do you think they'll meet up?

It would be interesting if they did but I'm speculating, hope it happens though.

As someone who has read all the books I can definitely say that HBO are doing a magnificent job with the series. The first book was pretty easy to translate to screen but from ACoK onwards the series just becomes an utter mess of unnecessary side plots and pointless characters.

My main worry is that HBO are going to quite easily catch up to GRRM given that he seems to have pretty much retired from writing and just goes to cons now (or you could certainly get that impression from his website). On second thoughts having HBO ghost write the remaining two novels might not be such a bad thing...

I thought of that but there have been numerous mentions to Jon Snow's mother being a whore. I can't see why Ned Stark would have needed to take a common whore into the woods for a discrete dalliance.

That's just to insult him, doesn't really make it true.
Can't see Ned Stark going after a common whore either.

The books strongly hint in th wording which he talks about her with Jon Snow that his mother was not a common whore. Ned clearly (imo) had affection and respect for her, and Ned is a man of old-school principles (even if he did slip up by having a bustard, but he was a lot younger then, and kat Stark even said their love grew over time, so it may not have been cemented when Jon was conceived), so it is reasonable to assume she was a lady of good repute or character and not some common tavern tramp.

No, they don't meet up. the Hound does meet up with someone, but it's not who you think.

*Use spoilers.*

Correct. IMHO. Having read all of the books.

Only Jon Snow is illegitimate. Catelyn hasn't had any children with Peter Baelish.

Please stop stating things as fact George Hincapie, especially since you have read the books. It's not fair on people who have not who wish to speculate and discuss events.
