The system isn't broken, it just doesn't automatically refresh - the server load would be colossal. You've been overbid since the last time you searched, is all.
on act I inforno just killed the Skeleton King.
So as a wizard i know that you should max out intelegence, but im finding it harder to keep alive, should i change my tactics.
my current setup.
900 intelegence
6000 armour
500 vitality
My Damage is about 11k
my weapon damage is about 500 Damager Per Sec
I know it's all about damage/crit damage, but no resistance/vatality = easy death.

Mines 16k standard and I didn't have too much trouble with act 1 bar the odd stupid elite. Main problem is I need to get some gear with +all res or phys res. My Wizard with 6000 armour and 300 resistances takes 2-4k damage from a regular zombie. My DH with 2000 armour and 19 resistances takes ~16k. Obviously I'll never reach 6k/300 but even if I only manage to reach 3k/150 it'll be a huge boost to my survivability... and maybe I could survive being 1 shotted by Butcher.
you really need to find the balance, whats your resist stats atm?
Really struggling to gear upAct 3 inferno is just too hard, Act 1 doesn't drop gear good enough to improve me (WD, 37k DPS, 30k health) and act 2 has no good farm spots..
Currently farming a goblin spawn in act 2, but with 112% MF he's only dropping a rare every 4 kills or so, and only once has it been a lvl60 rare =/ out of about 50 rare so far.
I am in the same boat, battled through act 2 inferno and made it to act 3, but act 3 is just too hard to keep trying (massive repair bills, little loot) Act 1 is a walk in the park but nothing that is an upgrade ever drops, and as you say act 2 is difficult to farm, throughout act 2 i never noticed any improvement in loot over act 1. So I am in the situation where once again its all about GOLD as useful items simply dont drop.
I think my resist is between 200 - 300
Googling around, i should lower my vitatlity.
at one point i was at 14k damage, but i would die on 1 hits.

Just downed the butcher inferno solo for the first time. 
Should be easy enough to farm him I think, especially once I get used to his pattern and eliminate silly mistakes.
These were the two attempts before beating him though.

No it's not. I might've believed that had it happened once or twice but when it happens 10+ times in a row on multiple items it is clearly the AH not displaying the right current bid.
Might do. Sorta torn between upgrading my DH and upgrading my Wizard atm ><
Thinking of rolling a new class today, not sure what though. Have Monk in Inferno, barb in NM (got bored), really disliked DH, so all that's left is wiz and WD. People keep saying WD is boring, so maybe a wizard? Guess I should farm some gear for a new char...
im having fun with wizard at them min, just done act 1 normal, seemed so weak to start with but is getting much better
i gave up with the witch doctor, throwing pots of spiders was boring and spent most my time running away from stuff in act 1 normal, i'll try him again one day though

I thought that the +15% damage would be better than the +31 crit. Wasted a bit of money on another bow. Have to try and resell it now.
It is a shame the AH does not have the ability to see the bottom half of the image when you mouseover the items, it should show the difference to your damage and armour. Seems pointless to leave that out. It is also a shame that you can not move items around your stash and your character in side the AH.

You are correct. after disabling the sharp shooter passive the new bow is now +438 damage. Should i still stick with the old one and the passive? I get 4600 damage compared to 8000+

Just coming to the end of Act 2 on Hell and I am getting some really bad luck on Champ packs. I'm a DH and can handle most but anything with 'fast' just rips me a new one
Its slow going but I will get there
I have had no good drops for myself as yet had a couple of Legendary items that sold for 200k each but nowt of use to me.
Evasive fire has rocked for me too.

Yeah, he really is quite easy
As a Barb I just about out tank anything he throws at me xD Only thing that is a risk is the fire, and simply ignore pain that xD

Standing still gets you killed in Inferno. My reccomended build (Wizard in our group uses it to good effect anyway) would be
Ray of frost (Cold Blood) - for single target and any time you can stand and nuke
Blizzard (Snowbound)
Diamond Armor (Crystal Shell)
Hydra (Venom Hydra)
Magic Weapon (force Weapon)
Lastly skill of your choice - he runs between energy armor (Prismatic Armor) and teleport (fracture)
Passives of Blur, Cold Blooded, Astral Presence. Can swap blur for glass cannon I believe if wanted.
Basically stick down blizzard for slow and aoe damage, hydra infront of pack, kite pack through it rinse repeat. Kite Kite Kite until you outgear the Act.
So after getting to Inferno, I've realised that it really is worth leaving group play unless farming Act 1. On Act 2, getting one hit killed by the Wasps projectiles is just ridiculous

legendaries (orange) and set (green) can drop at any point, and aren't necessarily the best drops. Yellows are where the money and stats are most of the time, just got to hope for a good rollI'm lagging behind a bit compared to you guys tbh - only in act 2 on Nightmare

I'm lvl60 with one char, lvl30 with another. Have farmed the game to death in certain areas as I'm avoiding AH, and still haven't found a legendary or set item. I'm starting to wonder if they even exist :|
