*** The official HTC One X thread ***

thinking after reading the thread over at xda-developers

link

the actual bad battery on some phones can be atributed to a Internal Hardware Fault --- loose connection of the WIFI antenna..

aparently it can just happen after days...weeks...months.

the connections become loose making the wifi work harder thus using more battery or simply not receiving a signal ...yet press the middle as shown in thread and signal is 100% :p

the heat is thought to be main culprit retratacting and contracting the connecting wire untill it just works loose from the solder joint.

currently there trying to narrow down what batch maybe affected and htc are maybe looking in to it to ...so it may be fixed in future batchs who knows.

batchs 23...24..and maybe 25 are affected

just in case anyones interested :D ...ignore it otherwise :)

It's pretty easy to remove the phone from its case so I wonder if it's an easy self fix.

Quick snap of a friends dog.

How can you find out which batch your phone is from?

its on the the paper wrap around that was around the box when you bought it.

its around the bar code...also 'made in tiawan' is supposedly preferred more than 'made in china' for quality issues.

something like HT23..or HT25.

23= made in march
24= made in april
25= made in may

23/24 have the most faults currently

and the fault isnt confined to just wifi as it can affect 3g and gps signal power too

hope that helps

So, good news for Playstation fan HOX owners here
Seems HTC One (X, S and V) are first non-Sony Playstation Certified devices, meaning lots of gaming goodness on the horizon :)

My O2 contract is up this month and I am fancying one of these to compliment my iPhone 4S. I don't want to have to pay much if at all in order to get this on a similar contract to the one I am on right now, and have found a deal at CPW online.

Free phone, £26/m for 300 minutes, unlimited SMS and 750Mb of data. That'll do me nicely.

The question is this: This is apparently a 'web only deal' but then on the same page it says I can print it out and make the purchase in a store.

Any ideas as to whether this is the site being ****, or whether I actually can get this web exclusive in a store if I take the deal in?

I've tried ringing up, but that's obviously proving more difficult than it should!

I'm running with Revolution 6.1. It's actually incredibly nice and smooth and retains sense which I was never fussed about with my Desire, but Sense 4 is pretty slick.

I downloaded the One_X_All-In-One_Kit_v1.0 from XDA which made rooting and unlocking a complete breeze

I like customising phones. However until rooting and customising can be done without invalidating the warranty I am staying put. I have a batch 23 One X that admittedly is working perfectly, but until the warranty expires or I can root without HTC knowing about it then I dare not. Would just be tempting fate!
