***The Official Samsung Galaxy S III Thread***

Did the SIII get inductive charging witrhout any kind of modification?

Mulling over a new phone and since getting inductive charging for my tablet I want it on my next mobile device also.

Also, can you nuke the Samsung ICS ROM and put on a stock Android ICS one? I'm not a fan of 3rd party changes to Android.

Not sold on look thoush, SIII looks alight but has nothing on my HD2. In-fact I have not seen any new phone that is as nice looking as the HD2, simple, metal brushed aluminium back, no **** around the screen, fully glass faced. Anything on the horizon that looks better?

Just grabbed swiftkey x off the store, this app is phenomenal! So much faster at typing now on the phone infact I'm just typing on anything for the sake of it.... :p

Once the Samsung ICS ROM has been properly ICS themed by the likes of VERTUMUS - its just as good if not better than the stock ICS ROM.

Interesting, did TouchWiz get better than as I recall other iterations being absolutely shocking?

Still not sure I can let go of my HD2 yet, might have to go handle the SIII instore.

Wow, just reinstalled Nova Launcher Prime after a short break, last time was on the S2 and there were some bugs with folders but now these seem to be resolved on the S3.

Anyway, so many options for gestures. It's set up how my GoLauncher setup was but with the addition of more gestures and the home button action when on default screen being to launch QBright so I can slide the brightness adjuster bar :D

Two finger swipe up for WiFi settings and two finger swipe down for ES File Explorer, both get used quite often so this is very handy!

Nova > GoLauncher now :p

Nova Prime has a lot more going than Apex, especially where folder management is concerned and gestures.

Posted from my iPhone

Not got around to installing a Launcher yet. I always had LauncherPlus on my Desire and I miss the gestures on the standard TW (I used to swipe the app drawer icons for various apps) as well as missing the sliding dock for more apps LOL....

Does Nova give you the sliding dock like LP?

 ummmmm wrong mate..

me and my mum don't work. also im disabled.

Forgive me for asking, but if you are disabled, live on benefits, and have financial concerns as a result do you think its wise to be maxing out your credit card with excessive mobile phone interest charges that you dont really need? The S2 is still a damn fine phone!

Has anyone tried Google Navigation on their S3? Used it for the first time today and at first it kept on flicking all over the place and then got stuck in one place (turn by turn still worked OK).

My cheap 1amp car charger wasn't powerful enough to power the phone too so ordered the tomtom charger that has a 2amp USB port. That should do it. :D

Yup I've had exactly the same problem over the weekend - reassuring to hear it's not just me and hopefully we'll get a fix soon but it is damn annoying.
