I've just completed Normal on my Wizard and starting Nightmare Act 1. However I'm a little worried - I like the idea of farming better kit in order to progress, but the trouble is that the stuff on the AH is so cheap (I only found a 28dps dagger through all of Normal, but got a 52dps wand for 3k off the AH which probably dropped in Nightmare) that it's very easy and tempting to just kit up through there. Is that how most people are doing it - blast through Nightmare and onto Hell with a lot of AH assistance, before you start to get more appropriate drops of your own?

It'd be nice if there came a stage where there was a nice balance between the rewards of farming gold and the boss drops you can get yourself.

I've done this. Have probably had 2/3 drops throughout leveling which are of any relevance to me and an upgrade vs my current gear. I'm in Hell Act IV at Diablo.

I bought this a few days ago and it's nice to have a game that actually has a real hard mode and not designed to be beat by dribbling mouth breathers bashing their face into the keyboard

lol, Blizzard offering refunds to everyone who bought the game? Oh dear. I also expect all of our characters to get deleted as they have no real way of regulating who's cheated or not.

They basically released the game whilst still in beta.

Urgh, I call bs on my last run for Azmodan. 4 Champ/Elites before Cydaea, 3 of them had Reflect Damage, then 3 more in the Core of Arreat before Azmodan, 2 of them were Reflect Damage! 5 out of 7 champs with reflect damage is taking the ****! Thank god I have 1090 regen on my DH or I'd of taken twice as long.

Yeah I tend to find, when I find one, I find at least one or two more packs with reflect damage as well.

RobSmith since it is such a letdown to you may I suggest you to stop playing.Whining constantly will not make the game better.

'Constantly' being the two rants I made a couple weeks back?

There are huge flaws in this game, there is no denying that.

On the other hand there are aspects of the game I love.. the actual gameplay, the music, the campaign, the skill system. I have close to 150 hours in the game, it's not as if I'm making my points from an uneducated position, it's just the problems with the game are just so game-breaking/off-putting that it's hard to concentrate on the good features.

Perhaps you should wind your neck back in and contribute something helpful to the thread other than telling others to stop "whining"

Yeah, loads of people on other forums have been submitting support tickets and getting refunds for their digitally download game and a few have been getting it from shop purchases now aswell.

Seems silly to me. Whether the games broken or not, people have still got hours of gameplay from it and most of those who've got refunds will probably buy it again once a few good patches have came out.

I'd rather have every pack being reflect damage than bloomin Soul Lasher / Phasebeast elites.

God I hated that part. Many resets of rage.

From what I understand, it averages out. If there's 2 people in a group, one having 40%MF, the other 100%MF then each kill will give a 70%MF bonus.

This should be displayed on the stats surely? I remember hearing the same thing and told the GF this but when we played last night she was adamant that the MF was not sharing between the two.

This is me being helpful to the thread telling you to stop whining. Most of the issues you whine about are already being patched, did you bother reading the 1.03 patch notes?

Lol, you'd get reflect damage soul lashers instead. The single most frustrating section of act III was the run up to the first heart. The first level I had quite an easy time (once I managed to clear out some mobs before a champ showed up), the second level was full of frigging soul lasher elites and that stupid unavoidable tongue attack from an enemy that moves 5x faster than you can. So was the next floor and the floor before 'The Second Heart' quest begins. I ended up swapping my skills to just run past.

Well when 3 of us were playing, we had max NV and he had none, he was definitely getting better drops than normal. But it could just have been luck and coincidence.

Just applied for a refund. Not because I don't like the game but because I'll pick it up in a few months when all the flaws are fixed hopefully and it will be cheaper.

Ofcourse I did.. explain to me then how any of the changes will help fix the problems I highlighted?

- Item randomization. Nothing is going to stop my 610 base damage helion crossbow from randoming utter useless attributes. There should atleast be some sort of system that recognizes when a certain class identifies a weapon that it has even a small percentage to roll in favour of the ttirbutes needed for the weapon to be useful to the class identifying. The number of times i've seen increased damage attributes for WD spells on bows is silly

- End game content. I'll give you the fact multiplayer will now be substantially easier to do, that always makes games more enjoyable. But provided you all have half decent gear, nothing is really a challenege, even in inferno, but still they're making it easier.

- Gold farmers. Nothing highlighted there to address the issue, simply ignored, just like the recent item dupe bug.

- Legendaries. Future patch..

Not particularlly looking for an arguement, god forbid everyone jumped on the back of anyone who had negative point to make.

I'd say RMAH is going a long way to combating gold sellers. Why risk going to chinese guy when you can get it securely (and probably cheaper) through the RMAH?

From what I've heard large sums of the gold are being transfered to "legit" looking accounts for when the RMAH hits, which will no doubt drive the prices down massively. Creating a safe alternative to the chinese gold farmers though will of course help stop others from being scammed which is always a good thing.

i don't understand people wanting the random items do favour their class when dropping with stats. it isn't really the point of diablo. utterly random stats are what make the game interesting, and what makes it a diablo game
