What effect does coffee and caffeine have on you?

I actually don't find they have any effect at all to be honest. Even energy drinks like redbull etc, i just don't see the point.

I usually find it very hard to get to sleep if I drink coffee/tea within an hour or so of going to bed.

Oddly, my wife finds caffeiene relaxes her.

Doesn't really have an effect however that KX energy drink kept me awake for 2 days straight after drinking 2 litres of it.

I think I've built up a bit of a resistance to it.

My usual day consists of:

Two cups of black instant coffee between 8:00 and 10:00, five or six cups of tea throughout the rest of the working day and a 500ml bottle of Diet Coke at lunch.

This keeps me ticking over while I'm at work, I don't get highs or lows from that.

However, if I break my routine and have a Redbull or Relentless at lunch instead of a Coke I'll feel a bit more wired. The same if I have a proper cup of coffee or two at the weekend.

I think I've only has too much coffee once — I went from buzzing to shaky to sick over the space of an hour or two.

Really keeps me awake, so I avoid it as much as I can. I'd say tea is the only thing that I drink that contains caffeine.

After coming back from my honeymoon, I drank a strong latte and a whole can of monster for the drive home. Couldn't sleep for bloomin' ages. Ended up being awake for 40 hours :/

Headaches

I don't think I've had a headache since I gave up caffeine since 2006, used to get afternoon headaches.

Apart from Saturday / Sunday mornings but I'm sure it was the tomatoes

None really. I used to mega dose on ECA and be up to 1000mg of caffeine on an empty stomach with 150 + mg of eph... Didn't nothing.

I have an Americano or Flat white most mornings and find it settles me a bit and sharpens me up ready for the day.

I normally feel the urge for more at around 1-2pm but try and resist this and have a tea and water after that time onwards.

I don't drink cofee often, but when I do my heart speeds up! So yes it has a strong eddect on me. It's like any drugs, the more you absorb the less effect it has for the same dosage
