Stock ROM? I've not noticed any untouchable screen areas really, would have been easy to notice as I use quick controls in ICS Browser+!


I've now installed OMEGA 5.1, installed over stock LF2, at least that should be fine but I did wipe Dalvik and standard Cache. The AROMA installer is damn handy!

My first thoughts were that ICS B+ would've exposed non touch areas if they exist, in fact it'd be a handy quick way of checking for touch response, if you didn't have a test app readily available.

All fair enough, but so far, from all of the battery reports coming in, it seems that under similar usage you'll get similar battery life. Which is very good considering the screen difference.

Of course that could be wrong, people have a habit of doing things to maximise the battery life to make it look better than it actually is, for some odd reason. :p

Ok im having a problem with my S3 :(


Ive mentioned it earlier in the thread but now im 100% sure its a problem,basically when ever i try to video call any one i get an error saying it could not connect and do i want to voice call instead,ive tried different wifi spots one in my house and one in my bro in laws thats just got a S3,he can video call me fine but when i call him i get the error

could it be a network issue (vodafone) or a phone setting ? ive installed tango video calling and that works just fine but the stock calling app just doesnt work for me ? :(

Yeah, there will always be conflicting reports regarding this area :( And it is very hard to judge battery life when you get people that don't post any info. about usage, screen brightness etc. :mad: :mad: :mad:

It is weird that! They might as well just put the phone on airplane mode and have the screen on 0% (and on a black screen if they have an AMOLED screen) and just not use the phone at all but leave the screen on the entire time! :D :p Ultimate battery life then! :D And even better post on screen time and total time screenshots around forums but not post any info. at all ¬_¬

There are a handful of people on XDA that have the S and say they don't get anywhere past the 3 hour on screen time mark :confused: Must be NOOBS! :p


Samsung have done a really great job regarding battery life though, honestly was not expecting mrk etc. to get that kind of life from one charge (on stock rom etc.) and the best thing is that it can be improved even further with the extended battery :)
 
Is there even going to be an extended battery? The design of the phone doesn't necessarily lend itself well to having an extended battery like the GS2 did (with the lip).
 
Patiently waiting for an ICS theme for OMEGA 5.1 and then I'm probably sorted ROM wise. Will just keep an eye on mods after that point!

I would be surprised if there wasn't one. I am sure that they will work something out in the end.............. :p


An extended battery is much more likely than a black GS 3 being released :p

Guaranteed you will be on a different ROM by the end of next week! :p
