Not a million dollars. People are grabbing for survivability right now. Vita, Block, Resists.

Keep hold of it. Maybe the 1.0.3 nerfs will change the market.

Hey guys,

Got this dropped tonight. Was wondering what people would value it at?

Cheers,
Mat

Seems sellable but not for a huge amount. The crit is nice but that is about all it has going for it. Would go for crazy money if it was doubled up then with crit-hit or attack speed. If you got all 3 then congratz on winning the internet ^^

I wonder about the weapon IAS thing, my bow has 21% IAS but I assumed that speed bonus was plugged into the weapon DPS already, but does this mean my weapon now will do less damage as well?

Without changing anything on my weapon I put the new numbers in and I lose 18500 DPS which is a fair chunk.

It wont do less damage per hit, but you will hit less often with it since your attack speed has dropped. If you are using the same tool as me you will need to put the new value for weapon speed in to see the effect. Not sure what the base speed is for bows, 1.4? Then add the new reduced ias amount (say 10%) which gives you 1.54 for weapon speed and see what happens.

In an effort to rekindle some joy i've rerolled a different character.

After steamrolling through the game into late Hell with Demon Hunter, Witch Doctor is nigh impossible. She dies at the slightest of touches. Can't even take on regular elite mobs without having to kite them across the map. Incredibly tedious. This had better pick up in the late game.

Maybe your Witch Doctors gear is just badly geared? Admittedly mine is only on Act III Normal though but she can basically steamroll things.

I've been purposely looking for weapons without IAS on my DH (getting similar damage per hit is extremely expensive) so I don't lose a great deal to the changes. That is, assuming they are correct and likely to happen. Only my quiver and ring have IAS on them, both 15%.

Flawless Star plans are so damn expensive. Even more so than Perfect Star which clearly goes to show the drop rates are flawed. Picked up a decent 725 dps dagger w/ 100 int and 90 vit yesterday on the AH for 450k (best I could get with a socket was about 790dps for 500k with no other useful mods) and just used the last of my Amethysts to create a Star Amethyst for some life on hit. Anyone know how much the top 3 tier gems give? Because life on hit is crazy expensive to buy.

My experience of the WD is its more of a glass cannon than the DH, only with lower damage.

If you mean late game as in Inferno, it doesn't. I have a WD on Act 3 Inferno and it's extremely difficult, pretty much anything and everything will kill you in one hit, maybe two if you're lucky or it's a weak mob. Shelved the character until 1.0.3.

I understand exactly what you're saying and its a load of rubbish. You gonna tell me you played through and tried out every single skill rune you unlocked? And that you didn't just take a look at the description of most of them and maybe didn't bother or tried them out for a few minutes and changed them back without any consideration as to how they'd work with other runes? You somehow managed to try every realistic skill combination while levelling up did you?

If the answer to any of those questions is no then you clearly haven't played everything the class has to offer and you haven't done so as you progressed through your character improving there gear. Changing your skills at level 60 is not playing through the game, if you aren't going to acknowledge this simple fact don't bother replying.

As i levelled up my Wizard i tried out the majority of runes as i went through the game and if i wanted to try any of the runes i might of missed, or take them a bit more seriously, i can do so whenever i please because i never committed to anything with my character. You haven't got a base for your argument so you're putting words in my mouth, "changing your skills at level 60 is not playing through the game" - i never once implied that, of course it isn't playing through the game - all i've ever said is that there's absolutely no reason too because if you already have a level 60 of a class you've achieved everything in terms of builds and flexibility the character can have - you just need to farm for more specific gear to compliment it.

I'm sorry mate but this isn't opinion, this is 100% undeniable, clear as day fact. You can go through the game again, but you don't get the reward of a new build because you already gained access to whatever you want with the class when you first went through.

I love Diablo 3 too but you're being too defensive of it and in the end just coming across as deluded.

Where is everyone currently buying it from? I signed up to BattleNet and went to purchase but its £stupid for a PC game. Looks like a few of the supermarkets stocked it cheaper but all i've tried are showing out of stock.

Up to level 57 now, grind grind grind, act 3 Hell, just got some newer gear off the AH so massively increased my DPS from about 4 to 7k.

Defeated Belial pretty easily now I knew his attacks and how to dodge them. I imagine I'll reach 60 before fighting Diablo on Hell.

You may aswell just pay it, you'll get your moneys worth for sure. The average price now is around £38 (or more) due to demand and it's still out of stock most places. You won't be able to get it cheaper for ages, Blizzard games hold their value for a long time. SC2 didn't drop in price for a couple of years and is still fairly expensive now. D3 is much more popular so yeah, get downloading mate.

Just sold this for £100. Pretty happy considering I bought it for 300,000g.

Woah. Nice. The only thing i've sold is for 85p.

I think the RMAH takes away a part of Diablo where people would just give/donate stuff to people. You're not even gonna give a close mate a small gear upgrade if you can sell it for £100.

"changing your skills at level 60 is not playing through the game"

absolutely no reason too

The only thing stopping you playing through the game again is your refusal to acknowledge it will be a different experience when clearly it will be. You are playing through with different skills in mind, just like playing through D2 with different skills in mind. You can respec your char at lvl99 on D2 and switch build but you completely lose the progression of playing through the game, no different to D3.

Some Monk must've been desperate :p

That's one thing I really liked about DII. Saying that though, last night I guy joined my game gave me a really good sword and left about 15 minutes later :D

I've already said you can make it a different experience but at the end of it all you are still the same class at level 60 but with different gear which you could've got much quicker if you just changed about your original character.

You can do it but people won't be because they already have access to all the content once level 60. This is obvious.

lol?
