***The Official Samsung Galaxy S III Thread***

Trying to buy a handset sim-free/unlocked, am I wasting my time trying to find a blue one at the moment? I've had a look around and not really found anything.

Erm, I don't see why sensor would have any effect on field of view.
Yeah, sure its going to have an effect on the 35mm equiv, but lens is more relevant, surely ?
 
Uninstall from device manager then reinstall fresh drivers for USB from Samsung's website or Sammobile?

Sorry yes, I meant lens/screen combo since they have evry similar (if not the same) sensor.

LOL Robbie, bias! You do know that when in video mode the iPhone crops the image? I can't understand why you've got one in video and one in photo when you're trying to make a comparison?

Haha, well spotted!

I think he's trying a bit too hard to convince himself he doesn't want an iPhone... :p
 
Assuming you did install the drivers correctly, reboot the phone. The USB host on the phone has some kind of bug I've noticed with un-mounting (in that it doesn't do it), should be fixable with an update if Samsung feel the need.
 
Any way to make the S3 show as removable storage on the PC?

I use SyncbackPro to sync various things (FTP etc) and one of them is to sync my media folders (music, video, photos) between PC and phone. Syncback doesn't see the S3 when it is in MTP or Camera mode as it shows as a device as opposed to a removable storage drive :(

Could do it on my Desire no probs....

You know, I didn't even looka t what mode it was on, I was waiting for a mate to come out of that hole and another mate had his phone out taking pics so I asked him to pass me it for a quick picture :o

Although it's still nowhere near as wide even in photo mode.
