Any experience that bigger RAM size, longer boot time?
I intend to go for 64GB if I have the S3 but am worried about the boot time and the access time.
What you reckon?

I am calling shenanigans on that melted S3. The damage is at the base where the antenna is. Antennas (AFAIK) draw next to no power to operate. He claims it wasn't on charge yet the damage is right beside the charge port? He is probably just smart enough not to admit he used a non-compatible charger so as to not invalidate warranty.

About to leave for work in 5 so don't have time try it out myself. Just in case anyone else does though.... It may not work for modified kernels.

Bah - looks like I have a knackered sd card in mine.
Movies and music are fine from the phone but now movies stick after about 20 secs and music stutters from the card. Card also randomly unmounts itself.
What the best way to test a memory card? Dont fancy my chances of returning this to seller without a fight.
Card is Sandisk UH1 32GB microSDHC

Phone not being seen by computer now so confused as to problem. Charges ok but nothing comes up in my computer.

Van - MTP is a horrible specification, you may need to reboot the phone if you havn't done this. It's possible for the phone to get stuck in a state where it won't mount.

Tried rebooting with card out/card in etc but nowt.
Is it phone or is it the card. All was well until yesterday when the issues started arising.

Tried in other pc and it works with card out so far, so looks like usb ports on case possibly. Going to try rear ports.

TRied in rear port it now recognises it - copying files over now and will test video etc again with card in. Front ports still work which is confusing with kb/mouse , card readers etc.
Now better head to work as I should have left 40 mins ago.

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to set notification options for individual apps? For example, I want a notification with sound when i receive a txt message, but dont want to hear the KERCHING noise when eBay app notifies me of a sale for example. In Settings > Sounds it seems to be one rule for all

I need to ask this why did they bother with MTP? I have had nothing but problems whenever that thing has been enabled.
