Well I've just started Inferno on my Barb and rescued Cain. If I let the enemies pound on me they can hurt as I have about 10k less health than I would like but they haven't been all that threatening yet since its only Undead.

Elites/Champs are level at 1 - 1. First 1 I found, the big undead with Plagued and a Shield that never seemed to go down (is it just me or are they using it more not less now...) killed me once. Next mob was a group of mortar bats who did basically nothing at all.

I go hex with jinx/horrify with extra radius/grasp with 80%/zombie walls with barricade/splinters/spiritwalk with health regen and pv/sv/sa.I sometimes switch hex for soul harvest but Inferno mode can be tricky sometimes to get max stacks especially off a pack and hex can be a lifesaver.(sometimes i use gruesome feast instead of spiritual attunement too)

Have done 2 packs same time with this spec in Act 2 so it's pretty powerful though a few packs in Act 2 have had issues with so says it all with some ability combos on some.

snip

I'm fairly happy with it at the moment. Now to sort out my build and gear as my poor DH just hit inferno and the first elite pack I ran into was Jailer, Arcane,Frozen and Waller :(

If you encounter a very hard pack now, just skip them, it's not worth the repair costs wiping repeatidly.

Be persistant though and imho the best advice I can give DH to DH, get defensive stats, resistance makes an insane difference to your survivability. I can tank most rare/champion packs on act2 inferno with little issues. Just need to up my dps now as im stuck at 28k.

Reached level 60 last night, beasted Azmadon on Hell difficulty.

Going to power through and beat Diablo, but now I have reached level 60 there doesn't seem much more to do since Inferno is impossible past act 2!

anyone here has a Monk ?
Problems on Inferno ? Im trying different builds but I tend to die quite a lot...and now repair costs are kiling me :/

it depends on gear, what is yours like and where in inferno are you? i'm in act 1 and struggle to kill most of the elite packs (but the skeleton king was easy) as my gear is not so great. the good thing is though, the new drop rates mean that you have a reasonable chance of getting gear upgrades in act3 and 4 in hell (apart from the ilvl 63 stuff) and it is so easy, to prepare for act 1.

i ran through from the fields after the catapult quest to just after the first fight with the giant spider with 5 NV stacks and it was raining rares. I made a fair bit of gold (maybe 100k or so including buying more stash space) via pick ups and vendoring the blues, found an awesome 2 handed 700dps axe off siegebreaker (stood toe-to-toe with) which increased my dps by nearly 2k and had another couple of higher ilvl stuff drop but it wasn't an upgrade.

might be worth trying that if you're in act 1, or farm earlier, easier acts if you are further through it. i posted a build a few pages back that works well, what are you using atm?

i have a monk with 1200 resists, 9k armour, 1k life on hit, 1k life regen, and 20k damage. He owned everything up until act 3 when even with defensive skills he couldnt take more than a second or two of punishment. The only way i got through to act 4 was kiting with deadly reach, and jumping in for attacks with blinding flash and serenity, which took a long time.

Havent tried since the new patch so maybe its better now, but prepatch it was very frustrating to play in act 3/4 as a monk even with good gear as you ended up kiting a lot. It was actually quicker farming the later acts by equipping my demon hunter with my monks gear and play a DH with high survivability!

Since the patch, Act 4 hell seems to be a lot easier for me with my Wizard. I'm trying to build up some money to get better gear for Inferno. Elites just kill me easy on that.

I'm on about ~9k health, ~21k DPS (with magic weapon), ~3200 armour(with energy armour), and about ~190 in all resists.

Does anyone know what should I look at increasing first?

I have about 1.4 millon to spend, should I get lots of cheaper items to improve stats or just get one good massivly expensive item at a time?

Anyone fancy farming act 1 inferno sometime? I farmed a bit of hell and it's utterly pointless except for the bit of gold made. I'm not farming gold to buy items from people who exploited to inferno act 3.

i'm thinking vitality
either that or i'm doing something wrong with my wizard.
I'm currently 35-40k hp and about 18k DPS (with magic weapon) at the end of inferno Act1 and i've not really had any problems so far.

Ah well, worth a go :) sounds like there are plenty of muppets out there with money to burn. Might get lucky.

Can vouch, I currently living in poverty eating beans on toast for each meal.

But atleast I have the best DPS weapon money can buy and can extend my e-peen even more within my social circle.

All I need is my laptop, my bed, and my Demon Hunter.

(notsrs)

But you know, there will be someone out there who has done something similar.

thinking of getting this,

loved MMO's and im taking a liking the the game, havent ever played Diablo before,

i see peopel are selling gear ect if they get lucky, if i started a character today do you have a chance of getting rare items drop from the time you start ?

or is it like an MMO where say the top end gear will only be found at the end of a hard instance and not going to be found killing trash mobs at level 8 ?

thanks
