Flood Warnings

The rain has totally stopped here now and its sunny. Just in time as the Olympic torch relay went through my village an hour ago.
 
We got flooded bad last night in hebden bridge next to river calder,
flooding started in todmorden at 8pm river burst the banks, then 9pm in mytholmroyd then 9:30 in hebden bridge then 10pm in sowerby bridge.
all the roads and train tracks was flooded no transport (apart from in my big jeep with snorkle :D)
Today theres a foot of mud everywhere, rubbish, sewerage the lot..

I live near the River Wye. It has flooded over onto the meadows next to it, but our flood defenses have stopped it going any further, luckily!
 
I live less than 100 metres from the Thames.

But we have the barrier, so I couldn't give a monkeys.

Haha you noob - the Thames barrier only stops flooding in the event of a North Sea surge - it does nothing if the water comes from the other direction!
