in fact prob definately about to give up lol

Act 2 inferno is stupidly difficult, and with 30k for repairs ... I had to farm Act 3 of Hell - for 40 mins or so JUST to repair my kit

now thats now what I call fun :( back to MW3 I think lol

you wait till Act 2 !

its so much more difficult I'm half tempted to give up now - 56 hours in wouldn't be bad going for a game anyway

Yea well Blizz broke this game from the beginning. It's a fun game but it doesn't require skill, it's all luck based on whether you get a terrible elite pack or not.
Basically ****ed balance like all of Blizzards games -_-

I might in a bit, trying to sort out some TrackMania with my brother at the moment though.

Added :) I'm Kamwah#2347

I'm still really struggling on Act2 Inferno. I can walk through Act1 only dying if I make a stupid mistake or pull 2 elite mobs (although I have got away with that as many times as messed up)

Move onto Act 2 and I just get obliterated by the first elite mob I see. It's generally Lacuni Huntress with some annoying combination :/

Approx 7500 armour, approaching 20k base dps, 29k hitpoints and all of my resists are 700 or over. I'm still using 2 handed with a total of 970 life on hit currently but I've seen other people mention they've pulled it off with comparable stats so I'm just baffled where I'm going wrong :p
My gear totals probably 5m ingame credit at a guess for perspective. Currently using both of the 2 passive armour resists and Relentless.

Any pointers? Getting bored of farming act 1 over and over!

Same here - Act 1 is a complete breeze on my Barb but Act 2 is frankly impossible. Getting incredibly bored with the game (which for me entails repeateding Act 1 over and over and over and over and over... :( )

@PinkFloyd - Are you using Wrath of the Berserker, Ignore Pain and Revenge?
Not using Ignore Pain. Didn't find it worked that well for me, didn't last long and didn't offer any other benefits. Being able to be invulnerable for 2 seconds or whatever it is just wouldn't make a difference for me at the moment.

I've got Wotb, Revenge, Leap with armour and shout with resists.

I'm not getting bored yet, but it'll happen. Smashing through mobs with cleave is still great fun. Then switching to Frenzy + Berserker to melt a mob of elites in 15 seconds :D

Maybe I just need to get more armour, so I can switch out from using 2 armour passives.

I made a HC char to get around the boredem, it still creeps back up on you. :(

Oh well, Torchlight 2, Lineage Eternal, Grim Dawn, Planetside 2 and Guild Wars 2 it is, then.

I can do act1 and 2 blind folded almost, 40k dps with 50% crit chance means i melt through anything and 1 cluster bomb is enough to one shot act1 rare/elites unless they are "Extra Health" ones.

Act3 I can do also, but the loot reward just isn't worth the effort, same for act2 imho.

It seems the risk vs reward ratio goes out the window once you hit act2 or higher. Spending 10 minutes kiting an invulnerable minions act 3 pack only to get 1 level 52 rare is a joke.

Yep, I just use %movement speed gear in Act 1 whilst still keeping my Dmg at 40k just running between elite packs which gives a stupid amount of rares. They need to completely rethink loot and its distribution through acts.

-_- Ok i'm out. 40000g repair to kill one elite pack that has Arcane,Illusions, Extra Health and Minions which all near enough kill me in 3 hits and it's in a narrow hallway.

Broken.

You'd be surprised what 5 seconds can do, or 7 with the rune. With the health gain rune you can quite easily trigger WotB, beat the hell out of things until you start taking significant damage, then quickly activate Ignore Pain and a single Revenge can give you 30-50k hp with a few enemies around or on crits and give yourself 5 seconds of near invulnerability against all but 2 of Plagued, Desecrator and Arcane.

You might die once if you're a little... overzealous with your attacks and don't move out of DoT effects or its a quite powerful enemy and you're not careful but I killed a significant portion of the elites/champs I faced without deaths and never more than 2 (which only happened once or twice).

Well obviously, you just lost damage reduction from resistances and gained damage reduction from armour so you've pretty much done nothing :p

i dunno what to do then, i aint got millions to spend on the gear clearly required to do act 2 and im tired of farming act one to try and find the 1/2 ilvl 63 items that might just be an uber upgrade for me.

I wouldnt bother with act2 personally, just farm act1, the jump in damage/health on mobs in act2 isn't offset by better loot, you still get just as much **** as act1.

And as posted above you can get some pretty sweet items in act1 anyway.

They defo need to rethink loot distribution though, act1 inferno should not be dropping loot designed for hell difficulty.

I reckon they should do it like this.

Act1 Inferno - ilvl 59-61, with moderate chance 62, very low chance 63
Act2 Inferno - ilvl 60-62, with low chance 63
Act3 Inferno - ilvl 61-62, moderate chance 63
Act4 Inferno - ilvl 61-62, good chance 63

If act 3 upwards are to remain at the current difficulty then loot needs to be significantly improved, and Nephalem Valor needs to persist through act changes, otherwise your always going to get **** off the first 2 bosses in Act 4.

The repair bills certainly don't encourage joining random public games. I've been doing them (Inferno Act 2) a bit over the weekend. I started off with 1million gold and finished off with 800K gold.....so thats 200k in repairs, with enough drops to probably recover half of that on the AH. I've certainly noticed that on the elite fights that are difficult, people seem to hold off rezzing and getting back into the fight presumably to save on repair bills!

Evilsod and I just had the craziest run ever, champs all over the place, we must have gotten 3-4 goblins too and a Resplendent chest. Think we killed like 20 or more champ packs before Butcher. I had to empty my bags 4 times :9
