Is Disneyland worth visiting as an adult?

Compared to the Busch/Universal parks the OMGWEARESOHAPPY attitude of the Disney parks becomes rapidly nauseating.

Only if you're a proper miserable bar steward ;)

Op: Another two thumbs up from me, though I would definitely get in Island of Adventure and Busch especially if you like roller coasters.

Not possible to go to the American ones, so is the Paris one worth it?

Nobody is really answering your question properly and missing the fact you can't go to the US ones.

I've been to Paris twice, as well as the US ones a few times. You haven't really said much about whether you are going alone or with a partner or family. If you like Disney and are at least aware of who some of the characters are from past and present, then I think you will enjoy it.

Disney paris is good if you are onsite though. But you can't beat florida for all round cheezy disney 4 parks and 2 waterparks and dozens of hotels + two shopping areas the place is huge.

I've always avoided Florida despite having numerous opportunities to go in the past while on other trips, I've done pretty much all of East Coast US. Unfortunately for me I've caved in as the GF is a massive Disney fan (freak) and I am spending two weeks there in August. Not looking forward to it at all :(

Oh the coincidence of this thread.

Going to Orlando Florida in 3 days, I'm so excited to visit the Kennedy Space Centre but I thought Disneyworld wasn't for me, going with my dad and whale of a sister...
Can't wait for the water parks; "Man the harpoons boys, we got a whale to catch!"

well? like what then?

The whole spectacle of it.

Enjoying how an area of that size has been turned into another world, or worlds.

'Rides' that are more for the experience than for the thrill.

How thought has gone into making the themes seem accurate.

The interesting things that are supposed to keep you occupied in the queues. - Things most people just run past but I often find are more interesting than the ride.

It might seem boring to most, but this is what I like about going to Disney, Universal etc.

If you can only go to paris, save yourr money. I find the staff, and the people in that country are generally rude and unhelpfull. They also refuse to speaj English. And no I cant be bothered to speak or learn french fries.

Thats complete nonsense.
Saying to avoid Disneyland because you find France as an entire country to be rude and unhelpful.

I've not found any of the staff rude or unable to speak English in the two times I've been to Disneyland Paris. Remember that it is Disney, they take their image VERY seriously, they won't tolerate rude or unhelpful staff. I would further add to your comment that Disneyland doesn't employ just French people, its very multicultural. I know loads of fellow Brits who have worked there.
