Is there ever going to be a fix for the horrible tearing in this game?

I find it really distracting and it has put me off the game - and in fact off the PS3 in general as a lot of games seem to have tearing problems.

Have tried several TVs and monitors, tried 720p and 1080p, it's always worse on in car view and when there are cars in front of me.

Anybody found a cure for the tearing or a way to reduce it?

How is it playing solely with a normal ps3 controller? I have had the game and a g25 before but i lacked a table or anything for a good set up so sold both before getting into the game

Only way I've ever played it after giving up with the same problem as you. No sturdy place to mount the wheel :(

Done 90% of it with just the dualshock but the Vettel challenge will be tough I reckon

Is it enjoyable though? Im guessing so by the amount you have played :D whats changed in updates since release?

LOL. Yeah suppose so. Always loved the GT games. Enjoy is a funny word though. ;)

It's all about completing everything and getting gold which does get a bit repetitive I suppose. Still, plenty of hours have gone into it and haven't played for months now.

Seasonal events make it last longer once you've done the core events.

I play both my xbox and PS3 on my monitor then I have the sturdy desk to attach my wheel to.

For sound I mostly use my astro's if not I plug the PC speakers into the mixamp 5.8.

I am still planning to build a wheel stand or try and get one cheap for the livingroom.

Really enjoyed the GT academy stuff, I love trying to beat friends times. Its mostly what I do on forza 4.

one thing i enjoyed the GT Academy, my and a mate at work were setting times one was beating them then setting new times etc, it was more fun than the normal GT5. It would be great if they done something like that as a standard thing in GT5

I played this to death when it was released, but after leaving it alone for about 12 months I've came back to it. Thing is, I load the game up, stare at the menu and browse the dealership, then turn it back off. :(
