Cool, so I'm on latest 4.0.4 rooted, will give this a go right after the footy. Will update once I got it done...

cant you just connect it up to your PC and boot clockwork recovery. thats all i do if i want to use the custom recovery features, i didnt flash it so i dont have any problems with OTA updates.

reboot to bootloader

fastboot boot cwm.img (or whatever your .img for the recovery is called)

Done and done. Now I gotta reinstall everything and get things looking the way I like it... will report back after a few days of usage on speed, etc...

Edit: hmm... Apex Launcher no longer works. Switched to Nova Launcher which does work

Edit: damn... it's so much smoother, esp the home screen!

yep got root back, dunno why it screwed up! so the qestion is do i install JB ??? i have all the bits here with me at work and nooooooooo work to do :D

Seriously, it's fast, it looks good, it's a very polished product even in early release. ICS seems so last November now!
 
haha yeah, i'll want to reflash it when the official version is out.

just wish i could get ics browser + or quick ics browser working!!
