My guess is that the people advocating this aren't the ones that would be making the 24/7 consumer dream, a reality.
No, I paid attention in school

Scrap it.
Annoying not being able to go to the shops on sundays because 90% of places are closed.
You'll probably find a lot of retail workers are part timers using the money to put themselves through school/college/university.
Yeah it's annoying retail workers get time to spend with their damn families aint it.
Everyone knows the retail hours on a Sunday are limited, so do your shopping on Saturday or on your lunch in the week.
Most corner shops open all day still so you've still got them for emergency supplies.
Why are people assuming Sunday would be an extra day?
You'd work it instead of one of your other days.
You lose nothing.

I voted for do not scrap. I don't believe it will generate much revenue if any.
I like the fact things close and Sundays should be a day of rest.
That's one of the things I love about thE continent, things shut down and you can have a peaceful weekend. If you need anything you just have to plan your lives a bit better.
I went to the co-op to buy some cake last night about 6.30 and it was closed! Infuriating.
I voted scrap but I do agree with my mother on this, who says why is there a need for shops to be open all the time.. maybe people should plan a bit better.
But IMO it should be the other way around. To ban something or to make a law, you need a very good reason to ban it. I can't see any reason in this case. We are no longer a mon-fri nation. We are very much 24-7, with millions of workers working any hour off the week.
Well....maybe we shouldn't be.
