Only just got this game and bloody hell its hard. Its nothing like other FPS games.

First time I tried multi-player, I took 2 steps forward from spawning in the trees and get shot from nowhere. Often times my guns don't seem to do anything even if I load half a clip into an enemy player, they just spin and take my head off.

The best ratio I've done so far is 14 kills and 19 deaths in one match.

Spread and suppression certainly makes the game a bit different to other FPS!

Just run everything on low! Makes seeing things/people a lot easier! Turn off everything and increase ya fov = sorted!

If you are playing clan battles and in a league then yes - you will want to tune the settings to your advantage. But I suspect for most people on here they are playing to enjoy the x amount of money and time that they have ploughed into their PC hobby and enjoy what the frostbite 2 engine has to offer along with all the nice things that DX11 has to offer.

If you want to play on low may as well get a PS3 or XBOX 360.... - joke :D

Keep an eye on your minimap as it can guide you to bad guys coming towards you.

SPOT. OMG I cannot say this enough. SPOT. ESPECIALLY armour, choppers and jets.

If you play support or assault drop kits often. If there's a group of people hiding in a doorway from a tank or rampant chopper, drop a kit. ammo is especially welcome. I'm sure we've all done the dance in front of a support player who won't drop ammo.

Did I say Spot yet?

Know the maps. Know ways into and out of flag zones.

If you are playing rush then do your job. Attack if you are attackers, don't stray too far from the MCOM's if you're defending.

You didn't say SPOT stuff enough. You can play **** and have terrible scores as long as you SPOT EVERYTHING its very appreciated :)

I take it spotting is when you press Q while aiming at an enemy?

I mostly played the assault type class. I was dropping ammo packs while I was near players, but in terms of knowing where and when to drop, I totally have no idea. I guess I'll pick it up as I continue to play and die repeatedly :p

Parachute Lag
Anyone know how to fix this? When am just free falling game is super smooth, once I deploy parachute my game stutters really bad when trying to turn?
Does this happen for everyone? or is there something am doing wrong, I have always had this issue my game runs @1080p and 60 FPS all the time and settings set to custom all on high, shadows on medium No AA.

Here video I just recorded showing free fall then with parachute notice how bad the stutter is?

Your dropping of packs and Q spamming is a good enough contribution :p In certain maps you'll learn of choke points which can score you huge medic/support points. Remember, always kill before you rez! nothing worse than being rezzed only for you and the medic to be shot by the same person again!

Correct - I ranked up almost twice in one round the other night on Metro, I was playing support class and attacking the ticket hall from the platform (on the right hand side stairs) kept putting out ammo and getting supply ribbons also laying down suppression fire with the MG so people could make a run into the ticket hall :)

BAnned again from another server Essex rifles TDM PB BANS, it said linked cod4 ban. I've never been banned in cod, ever. BF3 is the only game I've ever started getting banned in, it's ridiculous!

What's your battlefield 3 name in game?

still doesnt work even with a different weapon :(

thats easily resolved then.

You've not completed "done fixing" yet. You can only do the 2nd tier assignments when you've done the 1st.

Get 20 AT rocket kills, then you unlock the achievement and your carbine kills will start counting. Notice it still has the padlock on it ?

You're welcome by the way.

Notice you've got your 100 carbine kills already. Just your EOD bot kill now :)

Skill is worked out based upon your interaction with other players.

If you play on a server full of really highly skilled players, getting a high KDR will see your skill go through the roof. You lose almost no skill for dieing to very highly skilled players ,and gain a lot.

Conversely you lose a lot of skill from being killed by a poor player, and gain hardly any for killing them.

I've had horrendous negative rounds when the opposing team have all been amazing ,and still managed to gain a small amount of skill.

I've also had rounds where i've gone positive, run riot, but lose a small amount of skill because the team were all so poor.

If yours jumped 60 in 2 matches, you've been killing some players with higher skills than yours.Look at your match report to see how much it goes up or down in each match.
