What kind of a mount is that?!
Although after todays mishap maybe the phone is best kept in my backpack whilst cycling.... :p

Here's my battery use, I unplugged the phone last night. Automatic brightness, everything on. Usage was a mix of web browsing/apps/video/camera/listening to music/etc, fairly normal really.

I'm more than pleased with it, very, very good.

I wonder when they'll officially fix the cell standby bug, it looks odd. :p

Very impressive!

You forgot the battery graph chart SS though!!!! :p

Also why the hell does the battery life go up sometimes on the GS 3? (can't really make it out too well, but I think your battery life has raised a wee bit) Unless did you plug the phone in for like a minute?

Have noticed this on other GS 3 battery SS's, yet the charger hasn't been plugged in

Roughly how much browsing time? Activity time?

Actually you can still get these stats whilst connected to the charger, can't you? Only resets when it hits 100% IIRC? Or if the phone turns off.

It doesn't go up, the line just looks a bit funny in places, I don't know why. :p

I wasn't really keeping track of exact times, but an hour or so of browsing, 2~ hours of video, 2+ hours of music. I left wifi on the entire time as well! The rest is just Twitter/Flipboard/Facebook/Camera/Amazing Alex (:o) :p

Here you go:

I was expecting it to die while I was watching Fringe (at the end), but it soldiered on and survived with 4% or so left.

It's worth noting (as you probably know) that the auto brightness is very aggressive, but it's perfect as I'd have the brightness very low indoors and only really change it when outdoors. The One X doesn't ever drop it under 30%~ or so even when in the dark.

The GPS also came on a few times but that hasn't registered? A bit odd.

Is your Wifi connection on the 2.4GHz band? My battery life is good too but less than yours, I connect to the 5GHz bands at home/work though and 3 in general has a bit higher battery draw on mobile network mode due to having no 2G fallback when idle.

Can anyone help please.
Two things I have found to be exceptionally annoying since owning this phone.

1- The autocorrect is just terrible, the keyboard is gash, and I hate the way the punctuation works. Can i install a new keyboard to solve both problems here or is the autocorrect unchangebale?

2- If im watching a flash video on a website and I fullscreen it, the screen doesnt recognise that im watching anything and times out.
Annoying.

My router has 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands, I connect to the 5Ghz one with the phone (it's the only one that shows up actually, I think it's the 5Ghz; I gave them the same name :p). I don't know if that makes much of a difference?

I do also have a fairly good signal wherever I go, so the phone doesn't have to strain much in that regard.

Can anyone help please.

Get Swiftkey 3, it's awesome.

You'll know if it's 5GHz because you'll be connecting at over 100Mbps (150 max). If it's 2.4GHz then you will only connect at 65Mbps max.

Ah, yeah in the mini preview it looks like it.

An hour or so of browsing and only 2% usage?!?!

For me on my S it is 10%:

Reason screen usage is so high is due to automatic brightness :p

Yup have read that the auto brightness keeps the screen dimmer than what most people would like, sense AB is far too over the top as you said :p Manual control FTW! :p

I would try the 5GHz mode out but the crappy virgin SH doesn't seem to work with 5GHz :o :p

Used by some as well.

:D

I guess the percentages are skewed a bit due to the cell standby being ridiculously high?

Used by some as well.

Perhaps there are a few in this thread, posting from their cages. :p

I saw this mount on a site earlier today - can't find it in my history now.

And what gives with David Beckhams super phone?? He unlocks it, gets a MASSIVE font and within a second of moving the phone to his ear the Direct Call has not only kicked in, but the phone has rung AND the other person has answered.

Well just as I thought my GS3 was fault free (apart from the black dots which don't bother me at all) my ear piece emits a rather bad rattle in calls. Some calls have it, some don't.

Could this be a network issue or is it likely to be the ear piece?

Thanks

If it isn't affecting all calls then it's probably not your phone.

Perhaps it's your mind playing tricks on you. :p
