I find the complete opposite with squatting, stronglifts 3x a week had me hitting depth easier than ever.
Straight away though? Surely if you went from once a week to twice you would be tight for a bit? I'm speculating here as I've not done it

Decided to 'play' with my overhead press day today.. Managed to do 70kg for 3 repsSo much for being stuck at 67.5! I know its only a 2.5kg difference, but Overhead Press has always been a pain in the ass for me and always struggled with it.

Are your wrists in the same alignment when OHP DBs as they would be with BB? Makes a massive difference for me.
Strong OHP. I've given up on BB OHP for now and gone back to dumbells. Must be the only exercise where DB strength is higher, 27.5kg's for 8 today, max OHP is 47.5x5........wtf.
are you seated for both, or seated for DB and standing for OHP?
Weighed myself the other day, just under 11stwas hovering around 10st before! Certainly the heaviest I have ever been! I know I've put on a bit of fat (only around the stomach
) but I have certainly grown some muscle elsewhere!
