Yea I got 25108DPS with no passives and followers. On that screenshot, I had Steady Aim and Archery. SS was turned off but I normally use that as my third passive.

I would like to increase my Crit % but with the little amount of gold I had to spend, I could only focus on Dex, Vit and Resist All with a bit of Crit Damage on my last spending spree.

Just found my first green item, any good?

I've searched the RMAH and some pants with the same name but with lower stats are already up to £20 bid.

I decided to see what I could do with a simple barb DPS calculator spreadsheet and came up with this:

Apologies for the ad ridden file host, if anyone can recommend a better one will upload there instead.

It seems pretty accurate, and I included a WhatIf section so you can change the variables about and see what happens if for example you gain 1% crit, or lose some str or whatever.

Can some people try it out and let me know if it works well? would be open to suggestions as well if anyone wants to make them.

So after playing around with the calculator, it seems the biggest upgrade I'll get of around 5k DPS is if I just simply set my max buyout and then pick the top DPS one from the results to see 1250-1270 DPS 2H weapons.

As soon as I add any stat such as Crit Dmg or Has Socket, it goes under 1100 DPS weapons and according to the calculator I gain only 2K DPS.

I only can get gains of 5K DPS if I select only Dex as the stat. Also, I've noticed that Crossbows give more DPS than Bows, even with the lower attack speed of 1.1 compared to 1.4. I guess it's because of the higher min-max damage values?

I must still be doing something wrong though cos if I go for a 1 billion weapon on AH and plug in the stats, I gain only 13k DPS :p Maybe I shouldn't expect much with just 2.8m to spend?

Well you won't see much benefit from crit damage without a good crit rate. Double your crit rate and you'll see a much bigger dps increase.

This.

I ran your figures through my spreadsheet and first 980 dps bow I found with dex and a socket was +3.5k dps, if you had 30% crit instead it would have been +8k because as Evilsod says you won't get enough boost from Crit Damage with Crit Chance that low.

Just wanting some quick advice if anyone can help. Currently progressing through Act II, dieing once or twice, but steady progress. But wondering if i should just be farming Act I to get some gold to blast through Act II and try to farm Act III, as I'm not sure I'm up to farming Act III at the moment.

Tornado build atm (no WOTB), working well for me. Stats self buffed. Any advice would be great.

I tried the tornado build briefly earlier, couldn't seem to keep fury high enough to constantly keep whirlwind going. Need to dig out that video and the gear guide to see what I was missing!

Even without WotB the whirlwind alone was nuking my fury.

Well did it, stuck all my monks gear on the RMAH and made a tidy sum, sold 4 of the items for a total of £70 so happy with that. Put everything that didn't sell on the GAH with no buyout and once that's sold I will sell all my gold as well (24 million so far so ~60 quids worth)

Game would have more than paid for itself.

I see. That definitely makes sense. What if I don't have much gold to spend so I can't get any Crit % gear as well as Dex, Vit and Resist All? Any way I can forget about Crit at all for now?

I do run with SS so that should at least be a good start? I'll try and see if I can get my Crit up without sacrificing too much of my other stats.

hm, i have no issues at all on my Barb with cheap (read: rubbish heh) gear.
My stats:
40k HP
5154 Armour
619 All Resists (buffed - too low but he's only farming Act 1 so no worries)
915 Life on Hit
24k DPS (battle rage)
40.5% Crit, 149% crit damage.

Passives: Nerves of Steel, Ruthless, Weapons Master.
Skills: Frenzy (Sidearm), Whirlwind (Blood Funnel), Sprint (Run like the wind), Revenge (provocation), War Cry (impunity), Battle Rage (Into the Fray)

Pretty sure i have a half decent set of gloves you can have to kick you off, I'll check shortly.

Anyone fancy Act 2 Inferno tonight? I'm trying to clear as much as I can and I'm stuck at The Black Soulstone because people keep leaving, or are only interested in farming elites. I don't mind starting from the beginning if it means I have a consistently decent group throughout.
