Ideas for spending money and enjoying life more.

But seriously, that is a good suggestion and I've seen this sort of thing before - essentially exchanging your money for more free time. I don't think I need this quite yet, living with a friend in a two bedroom terrace near Belfast city centre!

:D

you know you can hire cleaners that do it in lingerie/french maid outfits.

I'm sure they'll offer "extras" as well :p

Get your genome tested to find out what you're likely to die of if you don't get hit by a bus :p

Yup, that's already on the list.

Are you renting, or buying? Save the extra towards a deposit for yourself (for a future purchase) or towards a deposit for another house (buy-to-let)?

Bank with First Direct and put £300/month into their 8% regular saver?

Renting. Already saving £500 per month into savings and STILL have £400 - £500 per month spare to spend. Thanks for tip on regular saver though.

In before (and I am surprised) with the "Worst 'look at how much disposable income I have' thread, ever".

He has about as much disposable income as someone on minimum wage but living at home with parents and not paying rent. Hardly 1%. :p

Hehe yeah. :p but the fact is that posting a thread saying "help me spend my money" means the OP doesn't want/need anything so therefore may as well save the money towards a mortgage/holiday/car.

Yup. Whilst I don't live with my folks, living with a friend means that rent and bills are very low.

I also have no debt, so no interest to pay on anything.

I'm not in the 40% tax bracket, so that gives an idea of the fact I'm hardly earning huge sums. I just have a modest lifestyle and looking for more ideas on interesting ways to spend disposable income.

Start a private detective agency and get plastic surgery every few months to throw your targets off the scent. Boob job is first priority.

10% of your income to charity? It's commendable, but seems like an awful lot to you considering the figures you're talking about.

No plans to buy a house?

Buy lots of cool products from OcUK, then sell raffle tickets to win said products.
Bask in the glory (and profit)

Imagine not being on Minimum wage and living in your parents house, not having to fork out rent. :D

;)

10% is 10%. It's not a lot. Like I said, I'm not in the 40% tax bracket, so I'm hardly earning big bucks. I just have very low outgoings.

Plan to buy a house when the market bottoms out. Plenty of time yet ;)

Or, he doesn't want to save for a mortgage, holiday or car for whatever reason. He wants to spend his money, nothing wrong with that. Not everyone is a saver.

Look at groupon, and take up any deals that look of interest. Don't research them too much, see what you like, and if it strikes you as something you wouldn't mind doing, pick up the deal. Sort out the details when you arrive.
