It's a competitor that sells similar products to OCUK, but also OCUK sell tablets as well.

Issues like this **** me off so much. How can these problems make it past testing. Might not get one after all.

Maybe it is a bad batch or something but does take the pee whoever is on QA!

It's like any other manufacturing process, not every item will be perfect. For me I've had an iPhone 4 that needed replacing on day 1 as the camera didn't work. My iPad 2 developed screen burn and was replaced and my new iPad has a dodgy home button and I shall get it replaced before I sell it.

This kind of thing happens and it's all about what the customer service is like then. That's where Apple are very good, hopefully Google will be as well.

Apparently so. The rumour mill is saying that the play store ones will not have this issue. Apparently google found this out during shipping, recalled all the units and replaced them with new ones. I'm unsure on how true that is though.

Does anyone know how Google are with returns? If you get a faulty unit will they do an exchange over the door or would it have to be sent back?

Going by what people have said (take this with a pinch of salt!)

If you buy direct from Google Play, Google handle the warranty which is NBD replacement.

If you buy from a reseller, you have to deal with the reseller/Asus direct, which offer a RTB warranty

Like I said, take of it what you will!
