At least what I say makes some sense.

But enjoy paying for your poor port, with a 30 FPS limit, up-scaled low res textures and stupidly over intrusive DRM which doesn't work half the time and randomly corrupts your save games.

GFWL works perfect for me. In fact I am on my way to collecting them all. Must have about 17/18 GFWL titles so far I reckon, but thanks anyway, I sure will enjoy Dark Souls on my PC with GFWL. Least you did not call people names from behind your keyboard that time, well done.

All fair gripes, and if the game wasn't so fantastic i'd boycott too :p

Perhaps if Dark Souls sells well on the PC we won't be so overlooked next time? Or maybe they'll think they can just get away with it again and again, who knows. Either way, as a gamer who dearly misses the time when games offered a decent challenge and didn't hold your hand from start to finish, I won't be missing out on this!

If i were you people i wouldnt bother with the game if your raging before you buy it , your heads will explode once you start to play it:)
 
Got this on PS3, im hoping the graphics are a bit better on PC as they are poor on PS3.

Though its got bad console port written over it so may just stick with PS3 version
 
Lot of misinformation about this game here are some facts:

1: 30FPS was only on the E3 demo they used the FPS limiter to ensure a smooth gameplay experience but according to someone from Namco who is testing the game its not locked to 30FPS at all & runs very well so far on the latest build.

NamcoBandaiAU is the user apparently he is a QA tester & says it goes to 60FPS on an AMD 5800 GPU

2: Gfx will look a lot better on PC due to higher resolutions, vsync, x16AF + AA.

3: PC experience will be superior to the console due to highspec hardware regardless of port quality.

If you do not like this game do not buy its that simple nothing is going to change much between now & release its most likely in the very final stages of QA with less than a few weeks to go until they have to press the discs.
If you do buy ensure you get the retail the picture below shows you why thats such a good idea ;)

If the game is the same as the console version, then it will be still be good. I am wondering if any of the people bashing it, have played Dark Souls or Demon Souls before? It is one of the best games this generation, there is nothing else like it out there.

There is no point in boycotting it because it's got DRM or tha fact that its a console port etc, the game it's self is still awesome, its a must play if you like hardcore games.

Best price I have seen is £26.85 for retail version from simplygames, which I guess includes all the extras?. Anyone seen any better?

GFWL does indeed suck hairy gonads, that's a negative right away.

I'll reserve judgement on the port until the game is released, the developer/testers saying it'll run well on modern hardware is one thing, actually doing it is another.
