I'm considering whether to bother at all as I don't need another tablet at the moment. My head says wait for the Nexus 10 but my heart says jump on the bandwagon. One thing is for sure, a decision will come shortly.
 
I pre ordered on 27th June and got an email at 5.30 this morning to tell me delivery would be coming today......while its great they have sent it quick 1.5 hrs isn’t quite enough notice to arrange someone to be home to collect it.
I didn’t mind the whole waiting and lack of communication but telling me its being delivered 1 and a half hrs before I leave for work is pretty pathetic.
I now have a nice journey to a TNT depot to pick it up

Indian shop does not deliver to mine postcodes and have to wait god knows how long ang google wont ship until next week...

If you dont want it, I could get it from you as it would be faster :)

At last :) the indian food didn't let me down!

Given that announcement from google, hopefully that means my 8gb Play store order will cancel and I won't have to go through hassle of refusing delivery/returning.

I don't know about 10". The N7 is in a unique position right now and that is due to its size and performance it's heralded as excellent because it can fit almost anywhere<>do almost anything and not be in the face of others out in public.

There are already plenty of up to 10" tablets about, I don't think Google want to spend money on trying in that size right now, especially with 5 Nexus phones announcing in Q4.

A 10" one would also cost quite a bit more and Motorolla/Samsung are doing well in this size class already for Android.
 
Firstly, my Indian order is on it's way, so no issues about getting one this week..

Secondly, the GP saga is getting comically bad, reading their Update statement posted above doesn't seem to tie in with reality.

8 people in my office ordered 8 and 16Gb models from 6th July to the 12th July, some had their 8GB's delivered yesterday, everyone else has got dispatch and tracking showing the others are all being delivered today (1 has already turned up at his home address).

I ordered immediately after the IO conference and haven't even had the 'status update' e-mail..
It's not that they've messed up, it's how they are dealing with it, no apologies, and clear 'lies' about pre-order shipping dates, it really has knocked my faith in google..

I can say that it's largely all been processed in reverse chronological order here, just 1 exception, I get the sense the third party company (Computer 2000) is just working blindly in any order from a manifest sent to them from google, and are not set up for 'pre-ordering'.. why Google choose them is weak, a company that just does normal supply with no track record for this kind of thing seems weak when you have so many companies that have been doing this kind of thing for years (Amazon, DSG, etc)..
 
Delightfully having received an email at 3am that my order had shipped and that I had been pgraded to next day delivery, TNT turned up at 8am with my tablet.

Have left it at home charging while I am at work but I presume the next day delivery upgrade is Google apology for shocking logistics until today.

Doesnt this contradict the announcement google made yesterday, especially with dates.
Edit: Ugh when you click the link it takes you to the announcement, just leads you on!
