*** The Official Google Nexus 7 Thread ***

Fair enough, but I think it's worth checking out to see if you have the lose screen issue as I believe Google themselves are telling customers to return, as it could put added pressure on the screen over time causing damage.

I didnt even notice it until this post!

Its less than 1mm, not bothering me at all. For now i'll wait n see if this gets worse. But not really seeing any problem with it, and its still covered if it gets worse later.

It got here before I went out, remarkable, here goes I'm entering the outer transport box......at this point I'd like to say if anyone heard me shouting before I was saying shunts as in "lol those folk at google don't know where anything is shunters shunting shunts" as in shunting deliveries about, that's all.

They may be carp at delivering stuff but boy oh boy can they put things "in" tightly, like really really tight, the usb cable in mine is about a meter long, I was expecting a few inches the way folk were talking yday.

Ace!!!!!! No raised bevel or screen so far, bezel sits perfectly, perfunctory screen test is good, it's a hand friendly form, somewhat smaller than the SGT 7.7, very handy as said by others the back feels nice.

No movement in the usb socket.

Phew a painless opening, I'm still a bit peed with google but I'm not gona bitch slap them when I see them in the street anymore.

Apart from the international delivery schedule email from Google I haven’t heard anything about my order for a 16GB placed on the 28th of June. I was just about to get in the shower this morning when a TNT van pulled up outside, the van contained a rather grumpy driver and my Nexus 7.

What a great device ! I really do like the size, kinda makes my ipad feel a bit cumbersome.

Haven't been able to see any defects so far :)

If you examine the thing, left side on, and peer at it really hard in good light there is a 2cm area where the screen cover is raised by a tiny fraction of a mm on mine. And I mean tiny. When I press the screen there it flexes down flush.

Mine arrived an hour ago, checked cant see any problem like that...

My device has FINALLY moved to the top of my play store orders. No charge yet, I have never wanted to be £200 poorer so desperately in my entire life!

Mine has arrived today :) Had it delivered to work.

How can I get BBC iPlayer working on it so I can watch the golf?

Make it nice and clear on here when you do.

Installed v10 then v11 flash, still not getting anywhere, installed firefox still not getting anywhere.

Installed iplayer, get redirected to a iplayer your not supported page!

Flash won't show on the market as I understand but I had flash working on my job powered s3 I just installed the apk manually, might be worth a go on the nexus?

guys, anyone who's received theirs from google play... what Currier are they using, my bro has a tracking number but doesnt know who with, and he's a sad B******d who wont show me the email etc for security reasons... laughable lol

Nice and fault free! Congrats!

What's the screen quality like?

Actually you're right! I just noticed a fault! The transparent serial sticker on the back is not aligned dead centre!

I've run out of DSR time as well!

Quick everybody grab your pitchforks!! Google are screwing over a consumer:D

I've actually got a pathetic sense of relief that my Nexus 7 hasn't got any, immediately noticeable, issues. Note I still had to add provisos, I've been reduced to a Tom D like nervous wreck, in years of extensive web purchasing I've only ever had to return 1 monitor, for myself, and that went smooth as anything.

A quick Scotch should sort me out:o

If you have a rooted phone, use es file explorer to make an apk of the latest flash version. Email the apk to yourself and install it on the nexus 7.

Then if you use maxthon browser (not the tablet version) you can use iplayer from teh bbc web page.

TNT just attempted delivery of my 16GB Nexus 7...

I just hope its automatic that they will attempt delivery again tomorrow.
