*** The Official Google Nexus 7 Thread ***

Some people are now saying that the problem is caused by a strip of sponge that goes over a connector. Maybe there will be another fix in a couple of days time.

Still to try the screw fix yet. Might be worth a go tomorrow.

Do you have a link for that mate? Would be interested to see. :)

Just got home after a busy day/afternoon!

Sad to say the Nexus is sold to a good said good friend mentioned earlier!

He wanted it mainly to view PDF files which is perfect. Currently he has a Galaxy Nexus running 4.1 so was rather pleased with this. Sold for £160.

May my S3 live long!

You've made the right choice. Now you can look forward to bigger and better things that will come during the next twelve months.

I'll be keeping a keen eye on the developments!

Here's hoping for that bendy AMOLED display getting into some device or other. Announcement in Q4? /me prays.

This is my screen raise. I don't know whether to take it back or not. Providing it doesn't get worse, I'm not worried about it, it's just that there is no way to know at the moment if it will get worse :(.

12 month manufacturer warranty. Sorted.

You anal swines are the reason the rest of us sane people can't have nice things that are cheap.

We all have to pay the XDA headbangers tax thanks to you lot.

I got mine from currys this morning(pre-ordered on 1st july), looks like I may have the tom-ocd( :) ) dreaded screen problem. not sure if I should see how it goes or take it back/return it(only checked due to the many posts by tom_d about it).

Everyone getting all holier than thou saying people complaining about the screen are mental - you're completely missing the point for most. The issue is not that it just looks odd. It's that the whole screen pushes down on one side (both on mine) and feels like it will fall out if you hold it wrong. It's poor, and that's that. If it just looked odd I wouldn't mind. Screens moving around, though, are completely different.

Their have also been people reporting dents across their device aswell. I'll no doubt get quoted again for mentioning this along with a roll eyes, but it's true.

And people are also reporting its perfect, and thousands not bothering to report anything because it is exactly as it should be.

You can read complaints about any device.

Damn you all. I have inspected it and have no screen lift but when i push down on the left hand side i hear a little click.

It says on my Currys letter that was in the box if it develops a fault inside 21 days i can return. If it gets worse i can just return it.
Never noticed until now.

(Note to self stop going on this thread!)
