While I can understand your frustration regarding the time it takes to gear up to progress further through inferno, there is no item duping nor exploits "blighting" the game.

Most of the rumours of such going round are just that, rumours. The few that have been real have been stamped out by Blizzard very quickly and any problems arising from it resolved.

Lots of people seem to love making up rumours slating this game, which quickly become "internet fact".

Exploits. They exist. See above.

Hopefully a roll-back will occur for those who benefit from this.
I hope so, but too hard to roll back I think. All the items that would have been gathered by it, then sold, then maybe even that gold sold for actual money. Wouldn't be able to roll that back.

im farming act 1 inferno on my wiz.

goes like this

port to northern highlands. search for tower.

reload game until tower spawns

tower - 3-4 champs and chest

port festering woods - 1 elite pack + 2 caves

port cemetary of forsaken chance of elite + 3 caves

repeat.

anywere else i should be going?

I'd be wary of a ban if using that exploit.

I could farm act 3 pretty damn fast if I used that exploit, but i'm thinking they might bring down the banhammer on people using.

I mean its not like you can claim ignorance, its blatant exploit abuse which they would well be within rights to perma-ban for.

Its very different. That was not an exploit, it was merely a very overpowered build combination.

This is an obvious "glitch" in the game that people are taking advantage of, it is not a result of design (as the force armor build was, it was designed that way, just with unforseen consequences) it is a result of an error in the code of the game.

It's still flaws within their own system, be it intended or not. Exploits are to be abused as you are typically still playing to what they released whether they like or not. Botting i frown upon (even though i did a bit of botting on D2), taking advantage of exploits whilst they are there is cheap but you'd be silly not too when so many others are.

Sorry to all you people who haven't rolled a Wizard.

There are always people like you who simply can't differentiate between the 2. They usually end up being the ones whining when the banhammer strikes.

Power Armour was exploiting an overpowered skill before they fixed it. You were not using an exploit, you were exploiting a broken skill that they had overlooked. A glitch that makes you invincible is pretty much the definition of an an exploit and abusing said exploit should rightly get you banned. Assuming they can track it. Not even close to being the same, nor should any consequences be.

Got some identifying to do with first beer of the evening later :D

Who wants to bet they are all junk?

I think most people would disagree (as the posts following yours indicate), Blizzard have dropped the banhammer for much less in the past.

I'm sure they care a lot more about botters than banning pretty much every level 60 wizard that knows about this doing a few runs before it gets fixed.

No offence, but it all just sounds like bitterness for the non-Wizards.

Yeah, there will be a lot of people using this exploit, so your right they would have to ban a lot. Does make it less likely. But its still definitely a possibility.

Oh and i'm a Wizard btw, currently farming Act2/3. Hence why I said its very tempting to do, but still very cheap and I don't particularly like cheating. The threat of the ban also tops it off for me, so I won't use the exploit.
