I'm sure they care a lot more about botters than banning pretty much every level 60 wizard that knows about this doing a few runs before it gets fixed.

No offence, but it all just sounds like bitterness for the non-Wizards.

Yeah and why shouldn't people be bitter. They work hard to play/farm the game normally and this allows wizards to farm Act 3 and 4 Inferno which has much better drop rates without dying.

I know this is a bit of a late moan considering the games been out a few months now but damn, i really hate the AH.

I've realised how much i enjoyed how disposable items were to mates and people you knew on D2, feeling good for helping them out and them doing the same for you. Now if anything good drops it's not "oh cool, i'll give this to my mate who's a different class/build", it's "how much is this worth on the AH?" or "will this sell on the RMAH?". I originally didn't think it was that much of a core mechanic in the game so never complained - but the more (or less) i play, the more i believe it's why i'm not enjoying it as much.

It's bad enough that the loot tables are terrible (and they can fix that) but Blizzard are always going to be controlling the market in their favour. I really, really, really want to love this game - and in many ways i do, but it's essentially taken away everything that made D2 great and turned it into a game that nobody wants to play after completing it.

It's either one big roll the dice game with ridiculously bad odds or some sort of financial simulator.

It feels so wrong to put this game down and i've defended it to plenty of people but i can see why people are quitting in their 100s of thousands. Once the new game novelty wears off for all the people new to Diablo, and Guild Wars 2 is released, less and less things will be bought from the auction houses, and it'll keep dwindling. It genuinely saddens me. PvP will excite ex-players again but within a few months it'll be exactly the same.

Blizzard will be forced to change the game completely in a rushed expansion or run the risk of it not being played by anyone except the cult hardcore.

I wish them the best, i really do.

Coming from a guy who a few pages ago was ready to quit due to the unfair way he perceived the AH system to work, this is a bit of a surprise. He clearly feels that the way forward is to add to the problem of over-inflated AH prices! If you can't beat 'em, join 'em :p

lol there is no way they will ban people for using that wizard exploit, they did nothing about all the people who used early exploits, like unlocking higher difficulties by joining multiplayer games, gold and goblin farming etc. All they'll do is fix it and leave the game state as it is.

Come on man, that's irrelevant. With all the botters about with this huge advantage anyway. All this does is allow me to farm more efficiently before they fix it.

What stats do you have atm? Tbh, Act 1 isn't hard at all and can be cleared with Hell gear.

Unless you suck at surviving of course :)

Having no trouble with hell. Just farming it easymode.

You should be able to clear Act 1 with that. Given your dex and dps totals I'm guessing your gear has virtually no crit chance or crit damage. Start to look for pieces with this on as well as boosting resistances. Also your armor is really low, try to boost that some as well but not at the expense of other things. Remember 1str = 1 armor as well.

Looking for opinions: what will find me the best (i.e. most saleable) items. Continuing to farm Inferno act 1 with about 120% MF (pre NV), or dropping the magic find gear for more dps in order to farm Act 2 on me Barb?

Barbarian and Inferno

I played Diablo III when it came out and got to act 1 of inferno before stopping. On the weekend I decided to play it again but I've not played for such a long time I lost track of what the bets builds are. I've read that Inferno is pretty impossible for a Barbarian and I don't want to now start getting gear for something that's almost impossible.

So far I managed to clear Inferno Act 1 but starting on Act II was a massive difference and I died, died, died... no I don't really understand stats or builds so I may be way off as I know my gear isn't good.. so the questions

1) Is it worth carrying on as a barbarian or are they just no good in Inferno (I really dont want to roll another class now)
2) Can someone recommend a good build
3) What gear/stats should I be looking for
4) is there anyone who would be willing to join me in game/TS at some stage and give me some pointers :)

Cheers

What's better to use physical resist or all resist? I currently have a mixture of the two and result is lower for each than focusing on one. Act 2 inferno I need help deciding what to use

All Resist adds to every resist type so it is therefore superior. Costs more with All Resist on usually though :p

You can also go for gear with both on ;)

Currently got a bid of 70 Euros on these shoulders with 1hr left to go. Originally paid 7M:

I did have a bid of 50 Euros on my old chest earlier, but then this email came through :(

Well I decided to play Diablo 1 first. Jesus christ how the hell???????????? I went to the Church for the first quest, cleared all of area 1 got all loot etc. Went back to town and upgraded all my stuff if what I found was less. Went back to the church and level 2, cleared the area, leveled up, went back to town to upgrade and buy potions. So by now both floors were cleared of enemies, I open the door to the butcher and he totally wipes me out, all potions used etc. Just dead, everytime :(

A bit naughty but I tried the Wiz "trick"... At Belial a lvl 62 legendary dropped :). Yet to identify. Before this I had not ventured far in act 2 as it is solid :)
