*** The Official Google Nexus 7 Thread ***

Tom is actually right though just doesn't express it properly and comes across as whining.

There's one poor mug over on XDA on his 6th. He wasn't being picky neither.

I agree he is right, if it was me I would ask for a change etc. Im just so fed up with all the whining, also going in with such a negative attitude is annoying.

Well you won't hear my whining anymore. :p

I got a refund processed, absolutely no issues at all. Tesco CS were fantastic.

And no, I won't be ordering again even from a newer batch. I've learned never to trust another Asus product.

Log into the play store in your internet browser on your pc or mac & when you select an app that takes your fancy on the left hand side of the screen it will then tell you if its compatible with the Nexus.

Cheers all

On a more positive note, I am seeing lots of "Optimised for the Nexus 7" messages in release notes already. That alone spells Google are onto a winner.

If they improve their book selection, it could be a Kindle killer.

That takes some doing. In years of having them, i've never had a single Sammy or Apple device with any real problems and I am pretty fussy.
.

From what I remember it *may* have been Tom that didn't like the way his S2 home button clicked ..........

And on a more OT note :D

Just received a Green Mofi case and a LuvTab stand case. Both rather nice (you can't see the bezel at all in the LuvTab case ;))

A strange clicking button is even beyond my level of OCD. lol

Yup pretty sure that was Tom, and then the other GS 2 devices (think he went through 3 or 4?) apparently had a pink spot in photos, which was only noticeable when you took a photo of a white background and iirc something to do with the volume buttons being wobbly and a pink or yellow tint to the screen, mobile getting too hot :D :p

For the 4s it was the ear piece generating too much heat or/and making a rattling noise, yellow tint to the screen and there was another problem for the 4s, can't remember what it was though.

Took no time at all to open, only idiot Americans (massive generalization) had issues. Cut tape x 2 and lift lid.

The slide off sleeve is the hard part not the box lid, some folk think it gets tighter if it has the pre opened 2 tape seals, mine was the tightest sleeve I have ever encountered.
