*** The Official Google Nexus 7 Thread ***

It wasn't just the nexus 7 though, it was also the iphone 4s and GS 2 (went through about 3 or 4 of both the handsets) :p :D

And have to agree, there is no way I would sell you something, not even if you were paying over the asking price :p

he moans about those devices too? And he tells me and others to give it a rest LOL.

No, some retailers are doing it as well

thanks for posting a Nexus question, can we get back on topic rather than attacking Tom_D??
Its like a school playground in here :(

Thanks for clearing this up. I read the Anandtech review (thanks for reference), no mentions of screen problem there. Are Google aware of this and are they going to be releasing a "second batch" of some sort? Just want to know as I am on the verge of buying...

if thats tom_D.. where a/b/c ? faulty?

on a serious note i don't see why you wouldn't sell something for him its not like others have had problem.. and he has the right to be picky? some can live with little niggles others can't :) and having a screen raise is something that would make me send my device back too.

If you have not seen it yet this should be good!

This smacks of bullying and a little bit OTT.

I am grateful for the observation of faults I would not have been aware of. On the flip side I do think Tom went OTT in his commentary and fanaticism over the QC with the Nexus 7.

Regardless of that, black marking him when he clearly has not caused problems with second hand sales is overly aggressive in ostacizing him. Tom may have a completely different policy when purchasing second hand goods. His main concern thus far seems to be faults present in new goods.

Delighting in his unhappiness is childish and inappropriate. Live and let live.

It's not black marking. - just highlighting a potentially problematic buyer. Really don't see the issue given his obsessive need to post about this tablet and it's faults (to the extent of encouraging nexus 7 owners to seek out problems with their device when they have seen none..

I have the screen problem with the Nexus, no way will I risk self repair so I will be swapping it for a replacement at Tesco's tomorrow. Luckily they have stock and no issues with returns.

A potentially problematic buyer? You have no right to say that. That's what the trust system is for... And yes with 2nd hand products I have a completely different state of mind. I have bought many 2nd hand products with imperfections that carry a lower price, as long as I'm told about them beforehand, I do not give a ****.

I'm done with this thread now, some of you really do need to get a grip and grow up.

Hardly.

This is the first time I have posted in this thread but i can see why others were getting annoyed.

If you would have not been aware of the faults, are they really that bad to worry about? As a fault to me is something I can immediately seen, it seems most of the this are hardly even worth worrying about.

And where have i black marked him in the members market? it's not as though I have gone into the thread and said do not buy he has ocd and been malicious have i?

I posted in this thread as a bit of light hearted humour, If people were going to sell to tom they would have read his posts anyway to read my linked post. So would unlikely sway they either way. as they would have read all the thread.

Whoa, hold on now sir. I think an adult has wandered into the mobile phone section of the forums. You're clearly lost and looking for the camera section.

;)

For the sarcastically challenged, I'm joking, and agree with Mr Snax wholeheartedly.
