AFTERMATH

You definitely need to pick the right weapon for the right map/type of game but I definitely find it easier to rack up kills with certain weapons over others of the same type.

And when you start and look at what people are getting top kills with, it's always the same old list.

I still haven't got my pp-2000 to 100 kills yet cause everytime I play with it it's like trying to kill somebody with a peashooter even when you get the drop on them as they kill you with an AUG,scar, M4, L86 etc.

The PDWs are a bit pointless tbh.

They are supposed to excel in close quarters where assault rifles would struggle. Yet close quarters is exactly where weapons like the F2000 and AEK most excel due to their ROF, making the PDWs completely pointless.

Thing is though, yes that list is always dominated by the those same few weapons, but they are all assault class assault rifles, they are supposed to be the best weapons for that job.

This is because the entire body and the encumbrance of moving around a long assault rifle in a confined space are not simulated in this game as well as what actually happens when you start spraying an automatic weapon indoors; but hey, they will keep pointlessly trying to simulate realism in one area at their near trademarked expense of gameplay without even attempting to compensating for technology's inability to simulate another.

Yet another reason why DICE endlessly highlights how utterly useless they are at weapon balancing, they aren't even confident in the **** they put out as they tear it up every other patch and rebalance everything. Also is why most people fall around laughing when DICE bring up esports.

got asked to join catalyst gaming ESL team tonight to play competitivly as IFV/tank and infantry and heli gunner as backup so am looking forward to that.

our heli gunner is pretty decent with tv too :D

I quite like some of the PDWs. The P90 with a 50 round magazine is great and I really like the MP7 too. Granted, they are outclassed by most other weapons but they are still good fun :)

If you are using a sniper scope, i.e. 8x and above then they can see your scope reflection light clear as day through smoke, same with the laser. It is one of my favourite methods of killing snipers, especially on Metro. If you are using less than 8x then it probably is a glitch/hack or sensor spotting.

Does the sniper scope sun-like glare appear on a 7x scope too (i.e. SV98 standard variant)? Also does the glare only happen when looking through the scope or at all times?

It really doesnt make sense that the glare is so obvious, the tracer/smoke streaks in BC2 were a far more balanced way of not giving snipers too much of a campy campy advantage. Have they ever changed it in a patch (made it worse/better)?

6x and upwards glares.

Any "Rifle Scope" gives glare, 6x +.

Yeah, my bad, 6x. I have never actually used any scope for any weapon, unless it was on a weapon I picked up.

Regarding the glare vs tracer smoke, kind of hard for someone to take measures based on the presence of tracer after they have already had their brains blown out by someone sitting in a bush 400+ yards away.

The P90 is one of my engineer go-to weapons along with the AS VAL.

Ripped up so many people with the P90. I run with it silenced and it chews through peeps at close range and holds it's own at medium engagement also.
