*** The Official Google Nexus 7 Thread ***

Most people are buying from other retailers as google charge £10 p&p and don't seem to be dispatching orders to quickly.

Tesco seems to be the best place so far as you can pick up in store.

since its only 7" is it really worth getting i mean i use my gs3 a lot but dont really see a huge advantage over this, if it was 10" maybe.. any thoughts?

While I really liked mine (it's going back Monday), I'm having second thoughts about buying another. Size wise, it was great for reading in bed, but I'd say 90%+ of the time I had it, it was sat in my lap, where a 10" would be better (for me).

For another £100 (a lot more granted) I can get an Acer A510. Still Tegra 3, but with the stuff added that the Nexus missed out on, as well as having a greater screen size. Decisions, decisions.

I've got an s3 and think the size of the n7 is fine, I can easily hold it in one hand and it'll fit in my camera bag. At the same time the screen is much easier on the eye than the s3 if reading a long period and naturally better for picture or video.

I'm waiting until they bring out a similar device, but then 10". Would be great if they can do that as it 'd be my first tablet ever (cannot justify paying a lot but it still has to be quality)

I ordered another N7 for a family member on Wednesday night from Google and it turned up this morning. It was surprising how quick it got delivered.

After looking at the Microsoft Surface thread, I am now having second thoughts in buying this. But then, is it really a comparison?

I am heading out on a flight on the 8th August to Asia, 11 hour flight - should I get myself one? I was thinking of converting a load of films to play on it, but is 32GB enough??

32GB?

So I just bought one, brought it back to work: Dead pixel! Gutted! Pretty central too, so it would really wind me up for sure.

Legal rights in demainding refund or perfect replacement?

Bought on visa debit card in store @ Carphone Warehouse

They won't have to do anything. They don't promise you a pixel perfect display. That's why buying online is useful for displays as you have DSR.

When buying from the Indian take away their policy is to offer a replacement if you raise a complaint. Even if you only have a single fly in your tika.
