Who here owns a Renaultsport?

I'm afraid I have gone sensible and boring.

Clio was sold and collected on Friday, I now have a TDCI Focus.

Oh noes :( focus are good though.

Had my windscreen replaced today. It's amazing the difference it makes to vision. Putting a replacement CV gator clip on tommorow evening then MoT time Wednesday

Q. Braking hard, if the brakes are working properly, should the steering wheel turn at all, or will it depend on the tyres too? Got a bit of movement under braking but wondering if it's normal with how good the brakes are now :)

I find the Clio very sensitive to road camber and will track the road under hard braking.

Suggestions/links Skeeter?

For exhaust mounts? I don't have any experience, I made the mistake of buying OEM.

I think both alexisonfire and ScarySquirrel made their own through fitting a powerflex mount into an OE frame. But I think you can buy some solid ones made up.

just ordered 2 more OE ones, they'll probably fall apart in 4 or 5 months but they are only £9 each. The 'race' spec solid ones are £80 on eBay!

Whats stock, 7250 isn't it?

I've very little sympathy for people who raise the rev limit and then have issues.

i was running double strength valve springs and ARP rod bolts! this is what KTEC advised me would be safe! there are people running a lot higher RPM than what i do. 7800 rpm on standard valve springs and dont have a problem.

Most remaps raise the limit to 7500 rpm, even the RSTuner map does this. I thought that 7500 rpm was generally considered OK as long as you weren't keeping it there all day long.

You'd be better off doing what Mike and I did with our exhaust mounts:

You do what the guy in the first post does, then later in the thread he shows how he drilled a hole in the Powerflex thing and voila, it'll never sag again!

Gustov, are you on Sportlines?

I'm getting fed up of my wheels rubbing so tempted to ditch the coilovers. I would adjust them but they're seized now so I can barely move them :(

Is there anything I can do to my exhaust to silence it?

Before I consider swapping it with a standard.

The tips are 3" in diameter, but gets narrower to around 2". So the adjustable silencers on ebay are useless.

Also, just bought a pair of Mintex rear discs & pads - this bearing has been droning for far too long.

What exhaust system do you have? I have a Miltek system and find it fine. Infact being noiser wouldn't bother me too much.

Just bought an RS192 for Laura's clio in the Group Buy, opted for the decat option but now not certain, what's people's experiences on 182's with decats? Worth the effort at MOT time?

You can pretty much gaurntee it will need swapped over, unless you have a friendly MOT centre.

Supposedly some nice gains and sound though. Few videos of the sound on CS.net.
