Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Oil light flashed up earlier out of the blue.

Stuck two litres in and I get one square;

Put two more in and left it for a while and still 1 square.

Am I missing something?

Dipstick is fine.

Is there anything I can do to my exhaust to silence it?

Before I consider swapping it with a standard.

The tips are 3" in diameter, but gets narrower to around 2". So the adjustable silencers on ebay are useless.

Also, just bought a pair of Mintex rear discs & pads - this bearing has been droning for far too long.

What exhaust is it? Yozza I guess? And do you still have the Catalyst fitted and the central silencer, or have they been replaced with straight throughs?

MoT failure on......exhaust! Apparently it's had it. MoT officially runs out Friday so zero time. Really wasn't expecting it to fail either :(

Stuck at work my Dad was ever so helpful and started ringing round trying to find somewhere nearby to get an exhaust. Pointless going for another OEM exhaust with the price of them!

So short notice, closest place to get a decent aftermarket exhaust was Nottingham. They only had a scorpion, or a Miltek. Really didn't fancy the Scorpion, would have had an RS192 but not a standard one. So ended up with the Miltek. That's me £400 lighter now :( However I have a nice exhaust so :D

Fitting it tommorow, along with fixing my CV gaitor.

Thought your's were 15's! Aren't turini 16's quite hard to find? 16's + spacers with your ride height is certainly going to rub. An easy problem to fix. Buy some 2118's :p

Have I been completely misreading everything when I was looking at 172 cups? I thought all Turini's were 16s? :confused:

Nah, some custom thing, 'highoak systems'. Yeah cat is still there, not sure about silencer. I onder if its worth anything? I'd swap it for a standard but i'd only end up having to spend money on that after a few years.

Oil indicator has all lines as squares now. Will check dipstick tomorrow, may need to take a bit out.

Speaking of Turinis... I've just had my SC3 tyres fitted and I'm currently in the process of coating the alloys in wax. Looking at them off the car they look like they'd be far too large for the car! Now I just need to find a decent set of locking wheel nuts before I put them on :)

could try making some videos of it and sell it on CS? people always after exhausts, might get you some money towards another exhaust?

another option could be a used one from Renparts.

Yeah sell it. People on ClioSport.net dig their loud exhausts!

From what I've read in terms of loudness they go from quietest to loudest:
OEM
Milltek
BTB
RS192
<Massive gap>
Yozza

And in terms of build quality they go from worst to best:
OEM
Milltek
RS192
<Massive gap>
Yozza
BTB

I was under the impression that the RS192 sounded closes to standard (cat back)?

I'm going to have to get something soonish. Still on standard!

The opposite, hard to find in 15's.

OZ F1s are hard to find in standard fitment in 16's though.

I've got a Miltek Cat-Back on mine and love it.

Sounds great on tick over and at low revs is nice and deep, but isn't stupidly loud. Lovely and quiet at motorway cruise too which is key!

And it still sounds good when you gun it, but most of it is induction noise anyway!

Exactly this, it doesn't sound overly chav.

The only comment I've ever had of it being too noisy is my mates missus sitting in the back. But then no one else has ever commented on it.

I've got a Milltek cat back and I've had it for 2 years now, no quality issues whatsoever despite what certain people on CS will have you think.

I've had my centre silencer removed so it's quite noisy though :p

Most Turinis are 16s. I do quite fancy 2118s now, but I'll probably be selling the car in about 8 months so probably no point. I think I'll just remove the spacers and see if that helps.

And when you sell, you'd like a nice set of standard Cup wheels and give me your Turinis in return? Why thank you :)

I'm sure we could come to some sort of arrangement :D

I'm thinking the Turinis might help me sell it though. I'd likely take the Coilovers off and stick standard suspension back on. Everything else I'd probably leave as is.
