Hungarian Grand Prix 2012, Budapest - Race 11/20

So you're saying that if Lewis has a DNF between now and the last race he's out of contention ?

With Alonso's lead I would say Lewis needs to win a minimum of 3 of the last 9 races to be in with a shout of the world drivers championship... If he has a DNF it is probably more like 5.

Of course it is always possible Alonso has a shocking second half of the season as I believe Ferrari/Alonso have punched a bit above their weight this year.

I love this photo. Such a powerful image.

I propose a conversation on MS an illegal electronic aids ;)
that sounds serious.

so you suspect hes a robot with electronic aids and he was showing signs of that this weekend?

is it anything like the human epidemic of aids?

or could MS be some kind of implant some drivers are using to gain an unfair advantage?

Whats that in English?

I think we've just had a South Park esk misunderstanding.

Next topic, is Maldonardo being punished because his accidents are not spectacular enough?? All his little fines and slaps on the wrist are actually meant as encouragement to try and flip the car and cause something more random that quietly punting off someone and ending two races...

Just... what?

I apologise for my ipads auto correction and not re correcting the 'an' back to an 'and'.

Perhaps electronic aids is actually what MS has caught and why he keeps car breaking!

Here Michael`s manager Sabine Kehm and Norbert tells us what really happened:

Norbert explains, “Firstly Michael thought that the yellow flag was there because of another driver and then he turned the engine off because of the overheating problem. Then when Charlie got a message from Kovalainen and De La Rosa, that they were in the wrong grid position he decided to have another formation lap, but then Michael had already turned off his engine.

Sabine continues: “Michael parked his car right behind Kobayashi. Where he focused on the starting procedure and looking after his overheated engine, then he did not notice that Kobayashi, then accelerated to take back his initial grid position. Then suddenly Michael was in the wrong position, it all was very weird.”

Sabine concluded that “when Michael saw the yellow flag, he then just turned off the car because of an old habit and to preserve the engine.”

In the end we are only humans, and even our 7 time World Champion can do mistakes. But we are all certain, the he will rise and show us all a great performance at his 300th GP at Spa in four weeks.

better video of the incident.

kobayashi moves down past roughly 6 grid slots at a snails pace compared to everyone else but never fully stops

i can believe the overheating engine though as the dreaded gills were back on the mercedes
