Hungarian Grand Prix 2012, Budapest - Race 11/20

There can't have been much of an overheating problem given that he was sat at the end of the pitlane for over a minute.

Exactly.

The initial reason I heard is because Michael slipped back into pre 2006 mode where a failed start meant a 5 minute delay before a restart, so switched his engine off and waited for the mechanics to come and join him...

i guess he thought it was smart at the time :p

no dumber than not seeing the lights at the end of the pitlane and smashing into the back of a car though or fisichella lining up on the wrong side of the grid.

They would be sitting with the engine running on 4 cylinders at end of pitlane tho?

It would be doing that on the way to grid anyway. If the engine can cut to 4 cylinders in the middle of a corner, then it can do it on the fly doing the burnouts and stopping on the grid.

I think Fisi done it twice which makes it worse :D

He managed to park on the wrong side of the grid at Sepang once (of his 2 grid ****-ups there). I mean, parking a slot behind where you're meant to be is pretty poor, but I guess understandable as you're going through a mountain of pre-start procedures... pulling up on the wrong side of the grid is something else. It's not as though you've been parked there for the past 20 minutes or anything...

Just returned from Budapest, went to watch the race, had an awesome time but it was hot!

Took a video of the proper start ;) on my phone...

I didnt expect the cars to be that loud. I tried to man it up and not wear ear plugs but after they passed the first time i was in pain lol.

For someone who so ferociously tried to convince us all Schumacher hadn't made a mistake, your putting a lot of effort into providing more and more evidence that he did?

We all accepted what happened from the first FIA statement. We don't need need any more convincing. But maybe you do?

i thought maybe some people would like to see a better quality video of it , why are you getting so offended?

It really shows how processional this race was if all we have to talk about is Schumacher's start.

In other news....anyone else getting the new F1 game when it comes out? Should be next month if the past two years are anything to go by. Heard very little about it so far, although I haven't been looking out for it much. :p

Probably won't get it this year but will be getting the F1 Race Stars game when it comes out

Same engine this year not a new one until next year unfortunately.

Nothing wrong with using the same engine.
In fact, I prefer an older game engine, which has been tweaked to the max, with all bugs ironed out.
An new game engine will almost always have some bugs which won't be fixed by patches.
