Olympic Track Cycling

There was one in the road race but he got dropped pretty early on and I assume swept up.

What's the reason for it? Genes or social?

The reason for no black swimmers is their bone density, however black people are pretty good at distance events, marathons for example, I don't see why this stamina couldn't translate to long tour cycling. With blakcs dominating in the running sprint I'm surprised there isn't more on the cycle bikes.

I can only assume it's a social thing. It's very easy for an Ethiopian to become good at running, cycling requires a fair bit of infrastructure.

running and cycling demand completely different muscle makeups

I'm not saying actual runners going on to bikes, I just mean the make-up of the different races. If jamaicans can be made good at running, they must have an advantage on bikes too if they invested money.

Clancy might be fifth in the standings, but he's not far behind and the points race is only the second of six events. He's still got a good chance with four events left to go.

Clancy looked really strong and won pretty much all of the sprints that he went for, just got unlucky and caught on the wrong side each time the bunch split.
