Why would you say that he isn't?

He can barely string a coherent sentence together, let alone play mind games.

I know he said the title race was finished but that's hardly a mind game, at that point they had nothing to lose by conceding defeat and Man Utd messed it up, I don't think it was related to mind games. I'm sure Man City fans like to believe it was, though.

To call him THE master of mind games is totally bizarre.

Arsenal sign Spain midfielder Santi Cazorla

Arsenal Football Club is delighted to announce that Spain international Santi Cazorla has joined the Club on a long-term contract.

Santi Cazorla - full name Santiago Cazorla González - joins Arsenal for an undisclosed fee from Malaga. He was a key part of the Malaga side which finished fourth in La Liga last season, qualifying for the UEFA Champions League for the first time in the club's history.

Cazorla, a versatile 27-year-old attacking midfielder, has made a total of 45 appearances for Spain and was a member of his country's victorious squads at the European Championship in 2008 and 2012.

Good news. Most money we have spent in as long as I can remember. We were weak upfront except for RVP. Adding two strikers and an attacking midfielder are an area which we needed.

If we keep everyone this year and sign up walcott and maybe RVP I would be over the moon with our summer.

DM will agree if we manage to sell Song to Barca for £15m plus lol

He speaks perfectly good English. Rooney and Ferdinand on the other hand are just embarrassing.

How is it not?
Everything that was said those last weeks were said to have an effect on utd. It worked. Coincidence? I don't think so.

Fergie has done it in the past many times and been praised as the ”master" a ”wily old football legend"
Mancini beat him at his own game.

Anyway this is getting off topic.

Omar Abdul Rahman has flown in for a 2 week trial and we have also signed some youngsters but nothing major so far. Really hoping we can get a deal done for Nir Biton. Getting a work permit will be hard though.

I disagree with everything you've said there, except that part. :)

Back on topic.

Utterly ridiculous. Is this how every transfer is going to go now? Any player who gets a lot of interest eventually goes to a rich club just because they can afford to pay ridiculous prices. £30m was crazy enough, but £45m is insane. It doesn't seem like PSG were even really interested up until now.

It also doesn't prove they've made a bid. That fee was reported by Globo Esporte and he could just have been talking about that. It does seem that they have though, unless it's just the agent stoking the fire...

But yes, we're basically going to have Man City/Chelsea and PSG buying whoever they like as nobody else can compete properly.

The main reason I'm not totally convinced is that it's a huge fee considering the player, PSG said they weren't buying anyone else and they've offered quite a lot more than us. Why not just raise the bid a little bit?

So why don't City buy this mythical solid replacement for half the money instead of injury prone Daniel Agger?? I'll tell you why, there isn't one.

Bad move on behalf of the club if they even consider any offers, regardless of price, why give BR any more headaches? He has enough on his plate sorting the other areas of the team let alone the only decent part that needs sod all tinkering. It's not just about getting a replacement in, it's the building of a partnership that will take time.

I still have my doubts that he would move anyway, he strikes me a guy that is true to his word.

We didn't pay £20m to buy Agger, did we. There's no guarantee that anybody we buy (if indeed we sell Agger) will replace him but there are players out there that can replace him and for a lot less than what we'll get for him. The catch is that they're not quite the finished article, unproven in the league etc. City can afford to pay a big premium to get the finished article, that's proven at the highest level. We can't.

If the press are to be believed it's Rodgers himself that's prepared to listen to offers at the right price for Agger. Generally CB's aren't that expensive and I'm sure Rodgers fancies himself to use that £20m+ and end up with a stronger side.

I'm fairly cynical when it comes to transfers - I very much doubt clubs will waste their time bidding for a player before having a quiet word with that player/his agent to see if he fancies the move. Could you blame Agger if he was happy to join City? He's going to walk into a side that's favourites for the league, will have a decent shot at the CL, treble his wage and he won't even need to move house either.

This summer is in stark contrast to last year for us and it's very positive. We obviously have the ongoing RvP thing but we've brought in who we realistically could to help cover the loss and left RvP in limbo.

We won't suddenly be challenging for the title I don't think but the reaction from the club to what happened last summer has been good.

Lmao @ people thinking those Mancini 'mind games' were good, mind games rarely do anything.

Hope we are asking Standard Chartered to apologise.

Mind games work in exactly the same way as any other prediction, they rely on idiots to see meaning where there is none.

Mancini says "we have lost the title" and does. He was right. They do win the title and suddenly United have fallen victim to "mind games".

Its all a load of crap and I have only genuinely thought that a manager has "gamed" someone on two or three occasions. The amount that footballers will think about what a rival manager has said is insignificant.
