Sao Paulo have confirmed that Paris Saint Germain have made contact over in-demand forward Lucas Moura.
Manchester United have already bid for the teenager this summer, whilst Inter Milan have also spoken to the 19-year-old.
However, neither United nor Inter have been able to meet Sao Paulo's demands - which are reportedly around £45million (£35.7million).
Inter chief Massimo Moratti said on Tuesday that PSG had indeed made a bid which matched Sao Paulo's valuation.
Now speaking to France-based newspaper Le 10 Sport, Sao Paulo vice-president Joao Paulo de Jesus Lopes has confirmed PSG have made contact.
"We have been probed by PSG about Lucas," he admitted.
The Brazilian club's official also confirmed that former Sao Paulo star and current PSG sporting director Leonardo was in regular contact.
"Leonardo has a very good relationship with Sao Paulo. But for now nothing is definite," he added.
It is believed that PSG's offer would see Moura remain in Brazil until January, but Lopes says the player will make the final decision on his future.
"The possibility exists but it is down to the player's interests. The policy of Sao Paulo is to follow the desires of the player. If the player wishes to leave, Sao Paulo will not create any obstacle. But we must receive a proposal that is appropriate," he said.
"It's a financial issue. Paris Saint-Germain is a big club in European football and if the player's interests and also the club's are met, I do not see why it would not happen."
We didn't pay £20m to buy Agger, did we. There's no guarantee that anybody we buy (if indeed we sell Agger) will replace him but there are players out there that can replace him and for a lot less than what we'll get for him. The catch is that they're not quite the finished article, unproven in the league etc. City can afford to pay a big premium to get the finished article, that's proven at the highest level. We can't.
If the press are to be believed it's Rodgers himself that's prepared to listen to offers at the right price for Agger. Generally CB's aren't that expensive and I'm sure Rodgers fancies himself to use that £20m+ and end up with a stronger side.
I'm fairly cynical when it comes to transfers - I very much doubt clubs will waste their time bidding for a player before having a quiet word with that player/his agent to see if he fancies the move. Could you blame Agger if he was happy to join City? He's going to walk into a side that's favourites for the league, will have a decent shot at the CL, treble his wage and he won't even need to move house either.
Man Utd may as well just give up on signing anyone else this summer.
We just keep targetting odd choices. I don't know why United have not made RvP and Sahin their top targets. Sahin would be allowed to leave on a permanent basis for the right offer which wouldn't be much more than ~£20m and the same could probably be said for RvP. Moura is very expensive and plays in a position we already have ample cover for.
I wouldn't say no to him but its getting a little silly and very overpriced.
I think we will be fine this year with our current squad but if we want to challenge for the CL, we need a couple more world class players unless a few of our youngsters have amazing campaigns.

lol a week ago no one had even mentioned Sahin being a target and now we all know he's available people are saying he should have been our top target all along :/

So why don't City buy this mythical solid replacement for half the money instead of injury prone Daniel Agger?? I'll tell you why, there isn't one.
Bad move on behalf of the club if they even consider any offers, regardless of price, why give BR any more headaches? He has enough on his plate sorting the other areas of the team let alone the only decent part that needs sod all tinkering. It's not just about getting a replacement in, it's the building of a partnership that will take time.
I still have my doubts that he would move anyway, he strikes me a guy that is true to his word.
My 'problem' wasn't with the club suddenly shifting their attention to someone else but more the fans/you claiming player x (in this case Sahin) should have been a target all along
Because this mythical and solid replacement isn't as good as Agger.
Chelsea got Marko Marin for less than £11m. Would you rather have someone of the quality of Marin and a defender such as Coloccini, or Daniel Agger?
Because we'll make a profit allowing us to bring in other players. So why sell Agger then?
I'd keep Agger all day every day. There are far too many variables to consider if he is sold. End of the day BR has to fine tune the attacking side why give him more headaches and have to get a defence all on the same mentality when its already sorted?
