I'm looking at a few chairs to replace the utterly useless and uncomfortable chair I currently have (one of those £15 operators swivel chairs) that was furnished with my flat.

Currently I'm looking at these two:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004347CFU/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE (the reviews don't fill me with confidence)

and this:

http://www.boysstuff.co.uk/gaming-c...tm_campaign=Admiral+PC+BoomChair+Gaming+Chair (which strikes me as being a bit gimmicky).

Ideally I'd like to steer clear of that vile 'leather feel' PVC/whatever. Looking to spend around the £150 mark, sadly I'd love the Aeron I have at work but they're apparently a bit snotty when it comes to stealing £800 desk chairs :(

Any suggestions??

I would go for the 2nd chair, but that's personal preference to me.

I wonder if we ought to make this a sticky btw? We get this question approx. once a week in GD. Have all of the posts together as 1 thread, then people can compare other links that were provided by other posters and OPs to suit varying budgets.

Not sure really, if you want something good looking then may need to look around more, but for the most efficient chair I'd go with this. Thinking of getting one myself soon. More time to game.

That. Is. Epic. Combine it with a Glade plug in and I'll be laughing! :p

I got myself one of these recently. Love it!

Looks quite nice, I'd totally forgotten about IKEA. Did you have it delivered?

Out of all the computer chairs i have ever seen, my chair is undeniably the best ever made. Ive had it since i was sat infront of my c64 25 years ago and it was second hand then. Id say its been used at least 350 days a year for those 25 years. The sponge is still thick and spongy, the only fix ive ever done on it was to replace 4 bolts to stop the arms from moving, the cover is still thick and only just starting to show a tiny bit of wear. It still has a little hole in the top where i barracaded my bedroom door to keep my brother out.
Unfortunatally i cant tell you who made it since there is no manufacture name written on it... but it must be german ;)
I dread to think how many times ive farted on it.

That got a genuine laugh from me. Didn't expect it from the sincerity of your post. hahaha.

Now that... that is a true gaming chair.

I have a Leap and would very much recommend it, great chair. It's comfortable but supportive and works for working at the PC and watching TV or gaming on it.

The best part about that is this:

"Please note this listing is private (No one will be able to see that you have purchased it) so the item title will not appear on your feedback, however you will still be able to leave feedback about our product and service."

:D

Ikea Markus, love mine!

Bought a blue one, had it over a year and it gets heavy usage, never feel tired or in pain from it

GD, this is a chair recommendation thread and we're 15 posts in without a recommendation for the most comfortable chair in the universe, the staples kashmir.

i am disappoint

*edit*
here's the thread in GD about it: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18215168&highlight=staples+kashmir

I was in staples today getting some card for the wedding on the weekend, and thought i would sit down for a few minutes to try and catch my breath from the in laws, its a nice chair but doesnt have much ajustment tbh.
