Fixed what I meant and wasn't Agger being side lined back in 09 was that for the rapidly declining Jamie Carragher?
And there is no telling how sensitive players are, look at Gerrard in 05 for example, felt Liverpool preferred the cash to him so was tempted to just go.
Wouldn't he be handing in a transfer request then if LFC are holding out for an offer that isn't coming? Or not get his body tattoo'd? Or the fact he/Gerrard and others have reported he doesn't want to go.
The fact plenty on here aren't willing to entertain this fairly likely scenario is bizarre, right?
Makes me laugh all the man u fans getting excited over rvp lol.
Kevin Mirallas to Arsenal could mean RVP will move on....
I know, he's only one of the best strikers on the planet right now.
Thing is by doing thisit opens up the question why buy a striker now? Welbeck and chico are a year older/better/more experienced.
So if you were going to buy one wouldn't you do it when they were a year younger and less experienced. Fergie might as well admit he didnt buy right last summer and knowingly started with too weak a forward line up. Now we are stronger and only now does he try to reinforce. Facepalm.
As usual utter rubbish
Have to say RVP to Man Utd for the figures being thrown around doesn't strike me as making a huge amount of sense financially - Utd certainly weren't short of goals last season and they only lost the title effectively because City spanked them 1-6 at Old Trafford.
Also as many have said it doesn't really seem an investment for the future but then I imagine the board/Fergie is thinking that it's more important right now to get back to winning trophies - although they'd be far better off *drumroll* getting a better midfield IMHO![]()
